Wait, I had no clue this was a regional term!

I just listened to The Fountain by Casey Scieszka and loved it. A sort of adult Tuck Everlasting set in the Catskills. Not a bells and whistles kind of audio production but the narrator did a wonderful job.
Oh, and I just remembered Brendan Slocumb is a great author of musical themed thrillers and all of his are stand alone. Very high can’t-put-it-down factor.
Loved One by Aisha Musharrar was sad but ultimately heart warming and very funny. It’s paced well for a summer read
Who wants to buy me the Rachel Antonoff sweater with the soft serve ice cream cone on it? Getting it myself would really eat in to my budget for real ice cream 🍦
Scarlet Morning by ND Stevenson!
So glad the temperatures are high enough again that when I have a bath the heat doesn’t all go out through the crawl space under the tub.
The 4pm coffee was a mistake
Started watching cryptic crossword videos on YouTube and now the algorithm is also giving me urban planning and intersection redesign videos. Got me lol
Countdown to me screaming at work because I have to hear about talk about think about AI for one more second
Fourth grade, 1997, black baggy wide wale corduroy overalls
Tuesday Mooney Talks to Ghosts by Kate Racculia. Mystery, adventure, scavenger hunts, Boston, karaoke, plucky characters, banter.
Do you hate winter or do you hate the system that expects you to treat every day of the year the same way, ignoring cycles of nature?
New MUNA single thank god
It’s twizzle time, baby
I do think people are not having it. His DC voicemail was full when I called yesterday which is rare. Called the Hartford office to say what he’s saying isn’t nearly enough!
Starstruck has a couple!
Remembered Starstruck starts on NYE so naturally am rewatching for the zillionth time
Really didn’t need anything to make this Survivor finale take longer than it already will.
Thank you all for organizing!!
Oh jeez, I just noticed I have a typo. The book was of course written by the wonderful Mariko Tamaki.
Back After This book cover
Okay, day 10, last #LibFaves25 of this year is BACK AFTER THIS by Linda Holmes. I never met a Linda Holmes book I didn’t love. Such charming characters and an irresistible premise. Plus a big goofy dog? Come on. I was also glad to have her narrate the audiobook as I love her voice on PCHH
This Place Kills Me book cover
Ack! I missed #LibFaves25 day 9 yesterday! My pick was THIS PLACE KILLS ME by Marino Tamaki and Nicole Goux. I loved the combination of the art style and boarding school mystery. Gloomy and emotional but the graphic novel format keeps the pace up.
The Phoenix Pencil Company book cover
My day 8 #LibFaves25 title is THE PHOENIX PENCIL COMPANY by Allison King. A stellar magical realism historical fiction intergenerational tale. Drawn in by thorough world building, I became so invested in every relationship in this story. And another hat tip to @libro.fm’s librarian program!
Candle Island book cover
It is day 7 of #LibFaves25 and my book for today is Candle Island by Lauren Wolk. I adore the lived in worlds that she creates. I read this in one sitting on vacation which is an ideal way to read it.
Oh, this is another one I have to shout out @libro.fm for! Their librarian program accounts for probably a third of my books read this year.
The Teacher of Nomad Land book cover
For day 6 of #LibFaves25 my pick is The Teacher of Nomad Land by Daniel Nayeri. If I was still in a public library this would be a new Swiss army knife recommendation, it has so many appeal factors. So many kids will fall in love with this story. A WWII story that feels unique.
Thank you to @libro.fm and their librarian program for the audiobook! Expertly narrated by the author!
The Leaving Room book cover
Day 5 of #LibFaves25 is THE LEAVING ROOM by Amber McBride. Novels in verse are outside my wheelhouse but I found myself swept up in the beautiful language and imagery. Maybe audio is the way to go for verse novels? And she totally stuck the landing with sort of a tricky ending!
