I’m not a lawyer, and I’m exhausted, so I can’t say exactly which part of the constitution forbids it, but if the constitution does not forbid the president from suing the government in his personal capacity and then ordering the government to settle in his official one, it forbids nothing.

In any case, the more realistic reform is that the Harvard-Yale Law/SCOTUS clerk/Circuit judge monopoly route to SCOTUS needs to end, & we should have more "regular" lawyers & politicians with Congressional & Cabinet experience on the Court. And there should be 25 seats, with 9 per case by lottery.
Once again, behold the unparalleled parsimony & explanatory power of the Dennis Green Unified Theory Of American Politics
Very brave.
"I smushed some random bits into a Yahtzee cup that desperately wants to please me. I shook the cup and rolled the die... And a bunch of random, disconnected shit came out, but it kinda sorta sounded like it might validate my priors, and so now I'm on teevee, highlighting the core downsides of AI."

It’s worth watching the entire video. I had blocked her many years ago at the old place, but she’s spilling the beans now and detailing how oligarchs and corporations pay right-wing influencers under the table. There need to be hearings about this and the huge loopholes permanently closed.
I genuinely hope that's not their tagline.
Nah, Politico is more Tiger Beat.
I will never forgive these assholes for making me repeatedly agree with Rand Paul 🤦🏻♂️
You think this woman here is GenX, do you?
Yup, my parents were super "disfunctional".
That's the ticket.
Mostly Millennials.
(This scattershot attempt to diagnose the politics of my generation, first by saying we're all brain-damaged, and now that we're all persuaded by Joe Rogan, feels like flailing.)
This was not evenly distributed. Note that lead persisted far more in rural and urban areas. While I appreciate the attempt to say an entire generation was brain-damaged to explain why their politics is different from yours, economic mobility and poverty played a very big role. Also, evangelicals.
I'm GenX, right in the squeeze. Teenagers on one end, parents w/ alzheimers on the other. My politics haven't changed from when I volunteered on Obama's primary campaign, nor have they for anyone I am in regular contact with. Maybe it's more like we've seen Dems run the same campaigns for 40 years?
They are doing some of the best reporting on the intersection of technology and politics. Consider giving Wired that $12/year.
The founders supported the separation of church/state to protect religion FROM government. It's hard to imagine a worse way to position Christianity than to have Whiskey Pete telling people that murdering children, blowing up schools and hospitals is god's plan. Their god sounds like a real ahole.
Headline: "With No Clear Plan, Trump Risks Global Economy to Stop Country Without Nukes from Getting Nukes."
Fixed.
🙄
Somebody get this dude a Snickers.
Not only that, because Trump, through his incompetence, recklessness, capriciousness, instability, and derangement, has so recklessly squandered our government's credibility, it's almost inconceivable to expect anyone—especially the Iranians—to rely on any commitment the U.S. might try to make.
This is an attempt to get the national media nodding along to, "see, both parties are corrupt, and we're cleaning house," at a time when the GOP is at metastatic cancer, third-world despot level corruption, and the Dems have got two schmucks who need to eff-off and find new jobs.
He didn't say "trade" deals, he just said "deals". As in, deals for the Trump family, cronies and sycophants. They far exceeded their goals.
I'd heard the Iranians set up a subtle but still pretty sexy loveseat just behind the delegation's seats at the table. It was in the background, but placed within Vance's view, and he just couldn't complete a single thought during negotiations...
As with all MAGA, Vance doesn't think skills have anything to do with anything. They think their main insight into success in this universe is attitude. Have the attitude that being a derpy, outclassed, deluded dipshit is better than being a pointed-headed puss.
"No one will employ me after this. I need to keep in the good graces of these people. Stop asking me hard questions. Can we talk about how slim the president looks lately?"
Or a diversity of educated opinions on, say, the efficacy of starting wars of vanity in Persia.
Why do these snowflakes need their own safe spaces to spout incel weirdo nonsense? Isn't that what twitter is for?
Having this guy on the show is more damaging to Welker's rep than his. An empty suit waiting for orders from Mister.
Pedo Protector.
