Agree electoral reform is such a heavy lift I don’t think I’ll ever see it. I’m all for mandatory voting and ranked ballots.
I suspect it would motivate people to think harder about their choices and find out what’s actually happening rather than relying on habit or tribalism

It’s a struggle for sure. I find it odd how calcified things can become. I’m in one of the most reliably right wing ridings in BC. (We were to blame for Stockwell and Christie Clarke getting parachuted into office)
