some people find python's simplicity intuitive but to me it's really obtuse. It was the first language I learned and I never really understood it. It wasn't until I learned java that I really started to grasp coding

For me it wasn't that that stopped me from enjoying it. It was that I found it boring. There's no action, all the tension and conflict is sort of conceptual based on the world. I feel like it required consideration and empathy to really get it, but that just didn't hit for me

I had to read it in secondary school. I definitely wasn't prepared as a 17yo so I hated it. I wonder if I read it now if I'd enjoy it or if the memories of school would just annoy me
