Let's annotate.
1. Begins with a CLEAR statement laying out WHO the culprit is and what he is doing.
2. Specifically says what he thinks needs to happen next.
3. Calls out his own institution.

THIS IS THE BASEMENT in terms of a response & his colleagues are underground.

for me impeachment isn't what we should be after. this president and most of his cabinet and staff should be prosecuted for corruption, fraud, war crimes, obstruction, and all the various crimes they have committed. i will only vote for a presidential candidate in 2028 who commits to this.

It’s a really special parasocial relationship when there’s someone you’ve followed for years without a follow back. like yessss that’s my friend that doesn’t know me and doesn’t want to

But behind the scenes, Israeli officials have conveyed a more targeted message.

In private calls to local leaders across southern Lebanon, Israeli military officials have assured several Christian and Druse communities that they could remain in the evacuation zone. They have pressed them, however, to force out any Lebanese from neighboring Shiite Muslim communities who have sought refuge among them as Israeli bombardment flatten Shiite towns, according to local Christian, Druse and Shiite leaders who spoke to The New York Times. The Shiites make up the majority of southern Lebanon.

It is endlessly depressing to me that there are people out there who actually think Rahm Emanuel or Gavin Newson are good ideas

Just so you understand, this is as if you prepared for argument in front of a panel that included Cookie Monster, and Cookie Monster asked you a question about cookies, and you had not thought about cookies in advance.

"I only watch Star Trek for the space battles" is a bizarre take given that most of the space battles in Star Trek are:

*camera shakes*
"Sir, shields down to 87%!"

*camera shakes*
"Shields down to 76%!"

*camera shakes*
"Shields down to 54%!"

I think this is a faultline that runs throughout the administration: They have no theory of mind, and are completely baffled by any motivation more complicated than immediate material gain.

I'm pretty sure Trump is going to send ground troops to Iran just because he's aware of how much people don't want him to. I don't actually believe in oppositional defiant disorder as a real diagnosis, but if it exists, Trump has it. Just moving through the world like everyone is his mean dad.

We know Elon Musk was planning a trip to Epstein’s island, but the Epstein files reveal a lot more about their relationship and about how Epstein pursued Musk using girls, relationships, and possible investments. Great to get @niedermeyer.online’s insights on all of it!

The question about Trump’s trajectory all along has been how he kept the scam going. He can’t code-switch or self-censor. Everyone who encounters him knows exactly who he is, immediately. The answer, I believe, is that he uses his manifest incapacity as a kind of superpower. Everyone who enters into business with him and sees his gleeful desire to cheat and steal and defraud thinks to themselves, “I can use this.” They don’t realize that he is too impulsive to be durably manipulable and that he has elevated betrayal into a perverse Kantian maxim. Everyone, everyone who joins forces with him loses, but everyone equally thinks that they are the ones who have seen through the ruse and can use him “as a tool,” to use a popular current-day phrase. The fact that they are obviously—even definitionally—smarter than him blinds them, makes them stupider than the stupidest man alive.

How can Trump go to war with Iran without Congress’s approval? Did you know U.S. presidents going back to George Washington have fought undeclared wars? And it all started as wars with Indigenous Nations.

KILMEADE: Is it true you're telling your whole cabinet to wear the same shoes, these Florsheim shoes?

TRUMP: When they tell me they have a problem, I say, 'let me get you a pair of shoes.' It seems to work out well. Now they look all spiffy & nice. I never liked cabinet members walking in sneakers.

ICE agents reveal daily arrest quotas and surveillance app in rare court testimony Under oath, officers said they were told to make eight arrests a day and given special tech to help choose ‘targets’

When a federal judge (finally) put ICE officers under oath, they admitted that they are given daily detention quotas and rely heavily on a Palantir-supplied AI tool to select targets, without warrants and without enough evidence to obtain one. They simply go into neighborhoods and round people up.
