So Hegseth didn’t get along with the Navy Secretary and also doesn’t get along with the Army Secretary. He seems to be the common denominator.

NASA has never come close to the amount of launches SpaceX does a year and has never been able to make a reusable rocket. On top of that over 2/3s of all NASA launches are fucking SpaceX. Another person who has no clue what they’re talking about.

thinking abt this bc there is currently a controversy on tiktok where people are misreading and spreading a statistic from this article, saying that 62 million men were either in or interested in a telegram chat about drugging and raping their female partners when really it was like 1000 people max

Not to support this crackpot but the actual toxicology of glyphosate comfirms it being the safest and least environmentally damaging weed control we have. Progressives need to be careful not to make it the left’s anti-vax. Jury trials are historically terrible arbiters of scientific facts

Holy shit. The FBI raided this woman's house with a helicopter based on the word of a "gait analysis" quack they found on X.

Hello! I still badly need work in narrative design or game writing etc. I’ve been in games for 20 years and I’m responsible for the mobile smash hit Lily’s Garden. I will take on full-time or contract work but I really need to pick something up soon. Please get in touch if you have/know of something

This is your periodic reminder that Democrats introduced legislation in 2021 to ban gerrymandering nationwide and every republican voted against it except two who were absent.

I'm having a hard time believing my eyes with water data this year.

The Colorado River mainstem through Grand Junction was flowing at 54 cfs last night. Not a typo. 54 cfs.

Last year on this date it was flowing at 1,420cfs. Even in 2002, the driest year on record, it was at 690cfs on April 22.

probably worth noting that "this worked out incredibly well" for Twitter investors BECAUSE Musk rolled Twitter into SpaceX, and that if he hadn't those Twitter shares would likely be worth close to zero due to his tragicomic mismanagement of the platform

She's been in a LOT of good movies too. The Guest, The Scent of Rain & Lightning, It Follows, Watcher, After Everything, Villains, Longlegs... It's actually a pretty impressive filmography.

NYC Councilman Chi Ossé arrested while protesting woman’s eviction in Brooklyn BEDFORD STUYVESANT, Brooklyn (PIX11) — Council Member Chi Ossé, who represents District 36, was arrested in Brooklyn on Wednesday morning, video posted by his office to social media shows. Th…

Outrageous. @chiosse.bsky.social was protecting one of his neighbors from eviction, as a result of deed theft — a plague in Central Brooklyn right now. There was no reason for NYPD officers to roughly throw him to the ground. It sure doesn’t make anyone safer. Release him now.

The one that keeps blowing up is the Starship which will be the largest spacecraft ever made if they can figure it out.

SpaceX had 134 Falcon launches in 2024 and 165 in 2025. Their averaging 13 launches a month now. They the supply the international space station and shuttle astronauts back and forth for NASA. And this is with the reusable Falcon. You have no idea what you're talking about. They basically are NASA.

It Was on Your Table Every Morning Growing Up. It’s Dying Before Our Eyes. No One Wants to Face It. The powerhouse of American citrus is suffering a brutal decline. Everyone has a theory about why.

Totally off-topic, but did y'all the know the Free State of Florida's citrus industry is basically dead??

This is quite a story:

Actually they didn’t adapt. They just happened to produce melanin naturally that happened to be amazingly successful in turning ionizing radiation into energy. Genetically they’re no different than where they’re found anywhere else. Which is how evolution works. A lot of luck.

From what I’m reading it’s more that Jackson’s estate somehow forgot they made an agreement that Chandler couldn’t be dramatized in any way. I don’t believe anyone sued. Just a ridiculous oversight and I’m shocked no lawyers approached Chandler before they were going to portray him.

Oof. I hadn’t read that. Apparently it’s better that Fuqua was unable to make the movie he wanted to make. Geez.

The dissection of Michael to me is going to be fascinating. How did this film get through every level of production to the point of post before they realized a huge portion of the film couldn’t legally be released? Without potential lawsuits anyway. How can that possibly happen?

That’s an interesting comparison. They have similar styles but when you look at their filmographies Scott has way more absolute classics IMO. I get the comparison though. (I definitely don’t agree that MS was anywhere near incredible though.) Equalizer 1 and 3 are fantastic.

SpaceX is the only one worth nationalizing. Let him keep Tesla and his stupid Boring company that are naturally tanking.
