Audiobooks can have a direct social aspect. My wife and I will often listen to audiobooks when we're in the car. True we could read the same book, but with an audiobook our progress is synced to the same word. Allowing us to discuss the book at any time.
I maintain a habit of always reading one physical book, one ebook, and one audiobook in parallel. The reason for this is that some books are only physical (or not in an ebook format that I support), but physical books aren't as portable as my e-reader.

I understand that citing sources is important. But with the volume of misattributed quotes out there, we should either stop adding attribution, or cite where you saw the attribution.
