After a series of fatal strikes involving civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan, Congress directed the Pentagon to reduce civilian casualties as part of a 2019 law. During the Biden administration, the Defense Department created the Civilian Harm Mitigation and Response initiative.

The civilian mitigation teams – cut by 90% by Hegseth – work with military commanders on target planning, and making sure that targets are actually military sites. The teams help come up with "no strike" lists, including religious and cultural sites and schools

I knew that the Department of War shot a missile into a school & killed 175 civilians, mostly children.

This is learned today:

Secretary of War Hegseth had cut the teams assigned to prevent such tragedies by 90%.

This is disgusting, but also a tacit admission of just how horrible and indefensible it is.

Even though I and everyone else knew it was probably going to happen, waking up to find out that this country’s leaders have started another needless war is making me so angry and sad

In terms of what cures are being lost:

- Epstein-Barr virus is perhaps the major trigger for multiple sclerosis
- herpes simplex virus causes cold sores, genital herpes, infections in babies, deadly meningitis
- shingles virus causes an intensely painful disease

Isaiah had a very key conditional there

"You serve your own interest on your fast day and oppress all your workers. ... If you offer your food to the hungry and satisfy the needs of the afflicted, ... you shall be called the repairer of the breach."

There is no repair without justice

Pathetic from the committee - they panicked to put in an ACC team, then the Bama bias kicked in. Games should matter, should’ve been Miami and ND

Opinion | Trump’s Boat Strikes Corrode America’s Soul

“The president inhabits a position of moral leadership. When the president and his officials sell their policies, they’re selling a version of what it means to be an American”

I wrote about the Trump administration, the boat strikes, and St. Augustine.

Is it good that Auburn has given us more yards in penalties than we’ve gotten offensively? That’s good, right?

All the coordinators have to go, this is just inexcusable in Auburn.

Based on that and the hit on Gunner Stockton, is it just that Texas is exempt from the targeting rule

When Families Need Housing, Georgia Will Pay for Foster Care Rather Than Provide Assistance In more than 700 cases over five years, Georgia reported inadequate housing as the sole reason for taking a child into foster care, a WABE and ProPublica analysis found. Advocates say it would be chea...

In Georgia, a mom facing eviction reached out to DFCS for help. They offered her nothing. Soon the agency took her kids away because of "inadequate housing."

The state then paid *$6,200 a month* to house her kids in foster care.
