Loved the revival of MST3K through Netflix. Loved the Gizmoplex season. And I am more than happy to love my comfort cast of the show returning for even more than a single episode. Donate if you can, spread the word if you can not.
You can't kill this show and I am so happy for it.
Always Sangria.
But also, I made some quick cheese steaks this afternoon with turkey deli meat. Any meat (or protein substitute you have), season with your go-to's, and shred your own cheese if you can on top of it. Be it between a loaf or regular slices of bread, you can't go wrong.
But I am alive, am relatively okay overall, and happy to let y'all know this. José will retire in Cleveland and that makes me so fucking happy. I should resume my MCU watch. And you should all still follow @josiegrossie.bsky.social and @jimation.bsky.social
Anyways:
Ngl, enjoyed my extended Social media break a lot. Lots of life shit that heaped on all at once: My dog tore his ACL, my grandma killed my grandpa (through negligence, not malice, to be fair) I got a new job, I became a fan of Uncball, and got heavy deep into playing Marvel Rivals.
The Guardians having the most improbable comeback in MLB history all the while having this mindset:
@rvdinator.bsky.social : “Alexa, enable fart countdown”
Proceeds to have a meltdown in laughter 😂😂😂
Just saw Bad Guys 2 again. If it isn't Peak, it is QUITE CLOSE TO IT!
If you can help it, I'd say watch it in theaters while you still can!
Legit respect the long game.
Okay, so, here were my options:
A) Dodge the razor, roll to the side, then take it out with a spinning back kick.
Or
B) Take the razor to the face, then roll on the ground and die.
Hmmmm. Should have gone with A.
POV: Your folks are looking at you watch WWF RAW in 1999:
Man with glasses and a mustache wearing a Dr Pepper jersey holding a Dr Pepper zero
He’s a Dr. Pepper girly
As God as my witness, this is the funniest fucking movie I've seen this year. Please understand, "Naked Gun" may be better, but I doubt it had me wheezing as hard as this movie did. The longer it went on, the harder I laughed.
Please see "Amazon's War of the Worlds" at your SOONEST chance.

Thor
Absolutely loved this one. Genuinely wonderful direction, great performances, stellar score, and good writing. Hemsworth especially is, pun intended, electric in this. Kenny Branagh brought his best to this and it shows. Just wish the Asgard stuff was on par with the Earth stuff.

I normally enjoy Sam Rockwell a LOT but damn is he just absolutely irritating in this. Ivan Vanko has such a presence around him and Rourke is REALLY good at having a calculated menace. But nah, we got to give poor man's Elon Musk and ACTUAL ELON MUSK (jump scare moment NGL).
Iron Man 2
Mmmmeeeehhhhhhh. Lots to like about it, especially the stuff that carried over from the first film. RDJ continues to entertain and Tony continues to be a fascinating character to study. But a great villain wasted and a plot that drags really holds it down. Not bad, not great. Mid.

Damn shame he is who he is because dude understands character so much and how different personalities play off each other. But yes, enjoy White Thanos. 😂😭
I am considering going to Agents of SHIELD down the line, but more than 4 seasons of a TV show with 20+ hour long episodes during a marathon is a bit much for me, rn. Definitely gonna need me to go back to. And I agree on Joss. LOVED Buffy growing up, but can't see him other than this now:
It's daunting as hell considering there is a LOT of stuff I missed out on and I got very burnt out 9 years ago on all cape shit but I feel like I should catch up since I really have nothing better to do currently. Lol
Incredible Hulk (2008)
Shockingly understated which I think is to the benefit of the film. Everyone is very low-key and the film jogs along nicely, not getting too boring or fast paced. Way better of a third act than Iron Man. Not as fun on the whole, but damn solid.

Iron Man
Hella fucking fun. Great start to the universe. Tony as a character is bolstered by a great arc and a genuinely inspired performance by RDJ. Very fun cinematography and set pieces adorn the film. Especially love Tony and Pepper's budding romance. Not perfect, but a fun ass ride.

For context, I haven't seen a MCU movie since Age of Ultron and some of these movies I've never seen.
Will also be watching the Netflix shows and Disney+ shows in order of the timeline because I am gluttonous. Not watching the ABC or Hulu stuff because FUCK THAT.
Welp.
I have a lot of free time now and I heard the Fantastic Four were done well recently.
Time to do the dumbest marathon I've ever done.
The MCU, all the way from the beginning.
Pray for me.
Michael Cole now offering me the idea that if not for Hulk Hogan I wouldn't have had to listen to him call wrestling for 28 years. People keep suggesting things that I would strongly prefer, like WWE not being what it is today and me never knowing anything about Michael Cole
I'd watch the FUDGE out of that and then watch the FUDGE out of it again with one of my buds who showed me actual X-Man 97!
Anyway, here's MY "Post Your Favorite Cartoon Intro that isn't an Anime" thing:
