At music camp, the bassoonists learned how to take off their reeds and make a sound using just the bocal that resembled a moose in heat. During a rehearsal they all tried this out. The conductor stopped and yelled, "French horns! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!"

Black & brown striped tabby sat on my lap. I am leaned back on the sofa with my feet on a low coffee table. This is her favourite position for me to be in. Five minutes ago I was sat up straight with my feet on the floor, having my breakfast. She sat on the arm of the sofa (on the right of the photo) and patted my shoulder gently but persistently until I rearranged myself into a suitable position to be sat on. She is now snoozing happily.

The bases should never have been opened to US use. They should now immediately be closed to them. This is patently the case. It is a military power with explicitly genocidal intent. Given how severe that danger is, the reassurances of its military officials about authorised use are insufficient.

Anyone who contributed to this event - the politicians and journalists who normalised him or submitted to his narratives, around the world - should hang their fucking heads in shame. They've put us in the most dangerous geopolitical situation for a generation and left a people at risk of genocide.

And any of the others currently at it as well before anyone starts with the whataboutery.
