It might be a good move outside of America. It might be tough to find much monetary success in the UK on a advertiser-driven platform due to UK Spending Power being so poor. I know UK YouTubers who are struggling right now because ads aren't worth much right now.
I think the videos are region-locked so I haven't seen them myself, but aren't new episodes of 'Doctor Who: Unleashed' YouTube exclusive outside of YouTube? Not even Disney+ gets the "making of" material of a show they distribute internationally. A small, but massive shift in distribution.

A fascinating YouTube Trend I've been seeing more and more recently are companies uploading full episodes of children's shows on YouTube.
They're normally old episodes of nostalgic properties, but it's a further indicator of companies completely ceding ground to YouTube for kids programming.

'Andor' isn't as big an issue, IMO. The same streaming service having overlap with their shows is probably good business to retain subscribers.
But it's interesting how Netflix didn't give a release date for 'Black Mirror' until the BBC dropped the DW release date first. I see it as deliberate.
I do think that this weekend has turned out to be a pretty poor release date for 'Doctor Who' this year.
Not only is the weather great so more Brits are outside, but it's sandwiched between 'Black Mirror' on Netflix and 'The Last of Us' on NOW/Max/Sky.
We shall see.

It's been 9 days and Instagram is still pushing April 1st post (Fools or Otherwise) to the top of my feed.
There must be something in the algorithm which is pushing these posts, probably to do with engagement but it's impossible to see anything recent from people I don't follow right now.

It's strange because he seems to only treat DW this way. Episode 1 of 'Years and Years' and 'It's A Sin' are so brilliant and bold.

A lot of angry tech-bros at my workplace this weekend.
Because Instagram's feed isn't chronological, I keep seeing April Fools posts at the top of the app whenever I open it and get really confused about what's going on for a moment.
Gone into studio today after a day off and it seems like every crew member here with kids went to see 'A Minecraft Movie' whether they wanted to or not.
Feels like the movie is going to be huge.
Oh, my mistake on the console price. I misremembered the PNG with the pricings I saw.
The console itself doesn't seem too badly priced. But the cost of digital games are way too much and it seems the "physical" copies don't offer much either. It's just too much for too little.
Am I right in that because the Switch 2 doesn't have the same internal workings of the Switch 1, that it's emulating the games inserted and not playing them outright? Or did I read that wrong.
If that's the case, it leaves me a bit uneasy on the reliability of the function.
It's a global console launch so I understand them not centering things on the UK, but dropping a £450 console with £80 games during a cost-of-living crisis doesn't spell good things here. Especially with all the April price-rises.
The Switch 2 looks like a cool bit of hardware. However, if that's the price of 1st Party Nintendo Games I might have to skip.
I was tempted to get one and dive into the back catalogue with backwards compatibility, but if it's just digital emulation...that throws a wrench into gaming on a budget.
