Do we think Brown looked at the Bok line-out reputation/skill and thought ‘this is a team where I can run X attacking structure because they have the skills to pull it off’ only to find it’s a bridge too far. The 4 man line-out is too ambitious to be practical at the top level🤔

@thalamsutu.bsky.social re the #SpringBoks lineout woes. Part of the problem seems to be the 4 man. Matfield has been critical of this. It puts a lot of pressure on the operators and makes a mirror defense pretty easy. Brown wants to 4 man to run his attacking system with loosies out wide.
