First time on in 6 months and can’t say I’ve sussed it at all

Number of children living in temporary accommodation rises by 20,000 The number of children living in temporary accommodation has risen by more than 20,000 in the past year, according to latest official figures.

My worry is that we’re becoming desensitised to news that homelessness in increasing - and that it’s accepted as totally normal for 160k children to be homeless this Christmas.

We are failing the next generation miserably unless we solve the housing crisis.

In my time at small HA’s I’ve always been struck by how much personal relationships make up for any drawbacks in satisfaction with a service. People were always very forgiving because they knew who it was doing the work and trusted them

Doesn’t make any sense beyond being purely rhetoric. Especially while Right to Buy persists - nationalise them just to be slowly sold off? A lot of effort and capacity used up while not building one home
