i find a 6 months to a year gives me a solid amount of time to really tell if its up to my standards. thats between creation and release. generally...

i find it takes me around a year to know if a song really will stand the test of time. if i still like it in a year its good. this is a very general rule of thumb. sometimes i know right away or in a few months. BUT that can also lead to me rushing the release when it could be even more polished

for me personally too many songs were coming out willy nilly, to keep up with the demand for content in the modern age. ive found more peace in putting out only my best work in the last few years. that being said. i have series of albums for my "trash" beats. bc some of them deserve to be heard too

totally understandable. i guess i spent so long putting out everything i made, that i started realizing what made me more happy was when i could really find the ways to make the music more timeless. id rather revisit a tune 5 years from now and be proud of the work i put into it.
