And this is how I get back to my firm belief that gender is made up because literally anyone should feel free to express themselves in any way with clothes, makeup and hair etc.

The difference between the times when I choose to express myself in a more feminine way now vs my early 20s is I'm not trying to look "acceptably feminine".

Like if I'm wearing makeup, it's purely for fun and done in a way that interests me (and isn't exhausting)

But somewhere along the way I forgot that I'm allowed to be nonbinary (and therefore trans) AND look more feminine if I feel like it.

I guess I felt that I had to prove my trans-ness by always and only presenting in gender-non-conformimg ways..

Before I started using "nonbinary" to describe my gender, I used "genderfluid"-

The reason I settled on nonbinary is because genderfluid felt more descriptive of my expression rather than my identity.

In a new era of letting myself express my gender in a variety of ways, not feeling like I have to pick a "look"

I have become less and less excited about awards season over the years for various reasons but.. I will say that I reallyyyyy want to see Sinners sweep the Oscars.

Just finished rewatching Sinners.. it gets better every time.

There is so much detail: the story, the visuals, the acting that I feel like every time I watch I'll notice something new.

Somebody a couple of years ago said COVID is the climate change of the body, complete with denialism and acceleration of existing issues and I have not stopped thinking about it. (And both are of course connected). I cannot find the tweet for the life of me.

This is the second time in only a few months that an ICE employee has been arrested in a sex trafficking sting operation.

You cannot talk about the measles outbreak without talking about the widespread erosion of public health - from vaccines to COVID mitigations. ICE facilities have been wracked with TB, measles, and COVID outbreaks. Community spread stops with you. Wear a fit tested N95.

Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-TX) visited the Texas ICE facility, where he met with Liam Ramos and his father. He has since demanded their release.

Along w/ this, the “COVID protections” era was about whether disabled people should be allowed to participate in public life & lots of people decided no & threw their masks away, refused to learn, adapt or clean the air, & went anti-vax. The killing spread to everyone because it stopped for no one 🤷🏾‍♀️

Pro tip: If you are attending a rally or action, wear a N95 mask & bring extras to give to others.

High quality masks can serve triple-duty: they prevent you and others from getting sick from airborne viruses, they keep your face warm in the freezing cold, & they can protect against surveillance.

The Covid-19 pandemic killed off one strain of the flu, and that will change the next vaccines | CNN For 10 years, Americans have had access to flu shots that protect against four strains of the virus: two A strains and two B strains. As we experience a huge surge of flu cases, a reminder that the widespread usage of masks at the start of the COVID pandemic wiped out a strain of the flu.

If you haven’t been masking up lately, now would be a great time to restart.

How my home looks, how i spend my day.. SO MUCH OF MY LIFE IS DEPENDENT ON OTHERS AND I CAN'T DO THIS SHIT ANYMORE

The extent to which i am dependent on other people means ultimately I DON'T HAVE A FUCKING CHOICE WHAT MY LIFESTYLE IS???!!

A grid with 4 photos of Riv, a white nonbinary person, is standing in front of a mirror holding their phone to record. They have very short hair, glasses, and dark lipstick.
They are wearing sweatpants and an oversized flannel shirt that is open over a grey crop top. They have on lots of silver and blue jewelry.

I'm not a professional astrologer but I do see a couple things: your moon forms a tight square to your pluto. The moon is how you feel (emotions, your felt experience in your body etc) and pluto is gonna be trauma.
