Support the early access or wishlist at residenthievil.com. We have a lot we're rolling out the next few months: official gamepad support, Steamdeck verification, fishdog/rat research forms and, of course, the National Bank of Hightown area.
The elite armored division of the Constabulary has been called in to guard the National Bank and Chief Constable Harland personally.

When replaying #gloomwood a week back I noticed how odd the Huntsmen/Woodsmen looked in comparison to the recent enemy models, so I decided to try my hand at tinkering them to fit the current visuals of the game.

An old poster styled after the video game Gloomwood. It shows a constable standing upright with a three-barreled turret behind him. The text reads: "In times of PERIL, you must HELP US HELP YOU! COOPERATION IS KEY! REPORT PLAGUE-RIDDEN INDIVIDUALS TO THE CONSTABULARY OF GLOOMWOOD FOR A REWARD OF 10 GOLD THEY WILL BE IN GOOD HANDS REFUSAL TO COOPERATE WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT MAY RESULT IN PUNISHMENT"

Jane was raised by her two parents in Gloomwood until her mother was taken away by witch hunters. She was suspected to be a witch after being caught possessing outlawed books and was to be executed. Jane's father was spared, having condemned his wife's actions. With no resistance, Jane's father stood and watched with empty eyes as her mother was set ablaze, with Jane peering out from behind his legs at the fire. As an adult, she began being haunted by strange nightmares of her city succumbing to a plague, with grotesque monsters roaming the streets. She interpreted these visions into paintings and made ends meet by selling them to collectors of fine art. Arrangements often had to be made behind the Constabulary's back, as some paintings were labelled "demonic" and "heretical" by most high-profile clients. Her father, a shell of the man he once was, lived with her in her apartment, assisting with paperwork and muttering to himself until he silently passed on. As Jane obsessed over her dreams, she noticed patterns: the same monsters, the same streets, and... the same woman, watching the chaos from behind tinted glass. After painting the woman's face, she slowly recognized it as the Countess. Jane realized those dreams were not mere visions, but warnings. Glimpses into the future made possible by means unknown to her. Was her mother truly a witch, and these dreams were caused by latent magic from being her daughter? Or was she succumbing to the true infection, and it was taunting her by showing what it would do to everyone?
She knew she had to warn people of their fate in the hope that she could prevent it, but the image of her mother at the stake flashed in her mind. If people discovered the cause of her visions, whether it was magic or plague, what would become of her? Would they take her seriously, a woman preaching to the city that their fate is to become vile crow-beasts and madmen? Would she suffer the same fate as her mother? Jane couldn't bear to think of it. As a result, she did nothing. She kept painting as usual and hoped that somehow, someone above the law would realize the truth hidden in her art before the city fell to ruin, and stopped the deaths of all the people she dreamt would die. But after her health worsened considerably and word of the first lockdown spread throughout the city, Jane realized she had failed. She resided to locking herself in her apartment until her quiet death. She spent her final moments cursing the Countess for whatever magic brought the plague, cursing the people for not seeing the truth, and cursing herself for standing idly by and peering onto the city as it succumbs to the sickness from her dreams.
