The IDW canon can get very stupid but it also has some fascinating glimpses into how fucked up society gets when your people live for millions of years and have such a broad range of physical forms/power/percieved personhood.

I was admittedly very uncharitable in my original read re: Whirl as the lolrandom violence guy when MTMTE was releasing. He tried to choose nonviolence within the limits of the system and had his options intentionally stripped away by those in power until violence was all he had left. Funny robots!!

This is also the continuity that gets heavily into the classism/racism between the forged and cold constructed and the shithole cybertronian political sphere as a whole so it's not that surprising but how stupidly grim.

Prepping my TF IDW reread list and was reminded empurata is a thing in this verse. Do a crime and have your head and hands cut off by the state and replaced with objectively worse equipment intentionally devoid of emotive capabilities or dextrous manipulation.

The fixlych turned out better than expected and is only really identifiable from the rest if you know what to look for. There's so much detail in these little bastards hidden as soon as you glue em together.

There are so many spare pieces in this kit that the temptation to glue them all together into some amalgam beaft is looming. But paints first, then crimes.

Managed to fuck up the neck piece on one of my lychguard minis bad enough to need to hack it out after it had been glued in. Carved a replacement out of a bit of sprue bc it's mostly hidden by armor and the ogdru jahad didn't raise no quitter.
