FIFA fanfest has been free everywhere in the world since its inception. For soccer fans this is a betrayal. Made far worse by how FIFA is gouging us. Toronto is not special, this should be free.

I am sorry, he is the Premier of Ontario, he does not need a plane. Fly commercial. The leader of Ontario is simply not that important.

the levels of elite impunity we are seeing now and the levels of war crimes we are seeing now are two aspects of the same path of historical development. right now they see war as our problem (and their investment opportunity). it is world historically important that we make war their problem again

everything we are seeing now is the consequence of having a political environment in which indifference to the deaths and suffering of other people - even by the state whose supposed responsibility is to safeguard their welfare - is a superpower rather than a political liability

I fucking love the WC. I hate everything about this WC.
6 games in my City. My team playing a WC game in my City was a dream. I ridiculously over paid for it. I have two other games. Unless something changes I will never go to another one. I feel cheated. Ripped off. Even for FIFA this is disgusting

You are aware you are allowed to demand more of your government right? You don't have to accept this. You should not accept this absolute clown show.

The Foreign Ministers of the United Arab Emirates, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Türkiye, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the State of Qatar strongly condemned the Israeli occupying power's enactment of a law in its Parliament (Knesset), that allows the imposition of the death penalty in the occupied West Bank and its de facto application against Palestinians.
The Ministers warned against the increasingly discriminatory, escalating Israeli practices that entrench a system of apartheid and a rejectionist discourse that denies the inalienable rights and the very existence of the Palestinian people in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT).
The Ministers underscored that this legislation constitutes a dangerous escalation, particularly given its discriminatory application against Palestinian prisoners, and stressed that such measures risk further exacerbating tensions and undermining regional stability.
The Ministers also expressed deep concern over the conditions of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli detention, warning of mounting risks amid credible reports of ongoing abuses, including torture, inhumane and degrading treatment, starvation, and the denial of basic rights. They emphasized that these practices reflect a broader pattern of violations against the Palestinian people.
The Ministers reaffirmed their opposition to Israel's racially discriminatory, oppressive, and aggressive policies targeting Palestinians.
The Ministers further emphasized the urgent need to refrain from measures imposed by the occupying power that risk further inflaming tensions on the ground. They stressed the importance of ensuring accountability and called for strengthened international efforts to uphold stability and prevent further deterioration.

For the first time ever, Arab states use the term apartheid in a joint statement condemning Israel for its passage of a new and openly racist death penalty law.

Just say I support genocide and be done with it. There is no justification for what happened in Gaza. None. Its absurd to argue otherwise no matter how reasonable you are attempting to sound, you are defending genocide. Look in the mirror and admit you are a hateful person.

No, it is. Through your logic the feelings of the victims of racism, and he is a racist, are worth less than his supporters hurt feelings. Saying racist things used to disqualify you from public life for good reason. Folks like you forgetting why is how we got to this current moment. Good day.
