I know this is a difficult time for everyone, but if you can help I would appreciate it. I am currently trying to come up with a minimum of $865 towards rent.

I've been behind on my rent since December & because of treatment last month I'm even further behind. While I have some assistance for food I haven't been able to work much let alone steadily since the surgery. I've also had to purchase items such as sports bras etc to aid in my recovery.

Never have a general surgeon work on your boobs. Always insist on a breast surgeon!!!

My surgeon was incredible. Just one incision, no drains, & the way she remodeled the tissue you can't tell that a chunk of my breast was removed unless I move my arms up like a French nude model. Even then you just see a small dent.

While it would ultimately be my decision after discussing it with my medical oncologist the surgeon felt given my other health issues & this particular cancer (ILC) chemo would be too much for my body.
Next up appointments with the medical oncologist & radiation oncologists.

They hadn't run my onco type tests yet, but my surgeon advised that I wouldn't be a good candidate for chemotherapy.

They didn't need to drain it & it was recommended I start massage along with some other skin (primarily nipple care) to help with further healing. No silicone products on the scar till after radiation treatment. I had agreed to radiation treatment before the surgery so, that was a given.

A couple weeks after surgery & after the bandages came off I had a follow up with my surgeon. I had healed well tho there was still swelling & just one small seroma near the incision. 1/

Wait! That wasn't on Spoutible🤔.
Not sure why the alt text didn't show up🤔 Perhaps it was brain fog🤔

Sadly, when Spoutible posts to Bluesky the alt text doesn't always make it. Thank you!

Please help Nancy out if you can! Even RTs can help. Don't let her go without her meds or Internet.🙏

Thank you!❤️

I could also start from where I am at right at the moment, but then it would be difficult to for folks to understand what's happening now & especially what lays ahead 🤷.
So, I'm going to do a series of short updates about each stage to bring everyone up to speed.

I haven't done an update on my breast cancer since December. A LOT has transpired since then. I could just do one long thread to bring things up to speed, but tbh I don't think I'm currently capable of that.

Oh thank you so much Nancy❤️ I know you're going through your own health issues so, I appreciate it.
I have yet to set up a GFM (or other fundraising site) so, I'm just using my payment accts (CashApp PayPal etc) at the end of updates.

I'm still recovering from the last cancer treatment. I'm generally exhausted & having issues focusing. It will probably be a minute before I'm truly back. So, it will take me awhile to follow folks back & most of my posts will be political memes, cancer updates along w/asks for cash etc.

Addendum: It's also not lost on me that the tipping point for Bovino was the death of a white man. Not a queer white woman or a black man or a Latino who were all shot by ICE/CBP, or a Latina (Marimar Martinez of Chicago) who nearly bled out after being shot 5 times.

Bovino was given that position to play patsy for this regime.
His removal is not enough. It never will be. Congress needs to not just acknowledge that it's not enough, but to act as well.

More importantly the citizens of this country must as well.

This was an execution.

I hope next year is better, but I've only completed a 1/3 of the journey. I will be back at Rush the first week of the year to start the second part of treatment.

I also will be happy to have more daylight. 4:30 pm is too early for darkness.

Thank you. Yes, I am keeping a journal. Very little of it has to do with the cancer. I don't really want to keep memories of this. I will have a scar & marks, & I believe tattoos to remind me.
