I think it helps to remember that media today is designed to provoke a fear response. They want you hooked and want you to think you must engage to save yourself. Recognize your early physical signs of distress, stop the input, and practice calming techniques! ❤️
Taking social media off your phone is a way to limit your access. Or give yourself 30 minutes a day with a timer set to look at social media, period. Or follow only a few people/organizations.
Years ago, my family visited Washington DC, including the Supreme Court. It had a gift store. I thought it was hilarious that SCOTUS sold pens and coffee mugs. I bought a mug. This morning, I poured my coffee into the mug and noticed a crack. I didn’t break it. This one just decided to die of grief.
