That was my guess too!

I made everyone a bottle for my family’s Christmas gifts this year!
Kyle Clark is a Colorado treasure.
I’m always happy to get a boost on energy efficiency. But it’s not good for the environment to constantly be producing the metals and plastics needed for a new machine every 5 years.
Planned obsolescence for major purchases, plus appliances that just suck. I’ve had to buy WAY too many refrigerators and washing machines already.
I love my Mazda for this.
Please enjoy my husky dreaming. Gotta love that mouth flapping in the wind. #husky #dog #dogsdreaming
Tiny needle-like ice crystals project horizontally from a wire fence.
Ice crystals on a groups of twigs.
The freezing fog created these really cool ice crystals at the dog park today.
A white Alaskan husky inspects a yellow coffee mug with flowers and butterflies painted on it. It is a Polish pottery bubble mug.
Meal planning complete:, grocery order placed. Baked some TJ’s chocolate croissants, my son’s favorite. Later there will be a trip to the dog park (which Dutchie is impatiently waiting for) and picking up of said groceries.
We want answers!
I bought tablespoon sized silicone trays for freezing leftover minced garlic, leftover tomato paste, etc. It’s so nice to be able to just grab what you need out of the freezer!
I use a google sheet for meal planning. I keep links to my favorite recipes in there, and I can include little notes. I have separate tabs for grilling, breads, side dishes, holiday menus. Then I use online ordering from my local grocery store. Has simplified meal planning and shopping so much!
I can work with this
“So do you want to come with me to the consult for the nose job we talked about last night?”
God I miss this show.
Seven scones sit cooling on a wire rack. Three have cranberries, four are plain. One cranberry scone was in my belly.
Using up my leftover cranberries to make some scones. Half with cranberries, half without because I thought they might be too tart for my son. Should’ve made the whole batch with them, they got nice and sweet in the oven. 🍽️
At the point where I will massively overpay just to have stuff off my mental to do list.
Sure! I followed the recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction. Basically you soak them in simple syrup for 15 min, then lay them to dry on par cu ment paper for an hour, then roll them in granulated sugar.
Looks delicious!
Forgot the 🍽️!
Finished Yule log cake. It looks like a tree branch, with sugared cranberries and rosemary decorations.
An unfrosted chocolate Swiss roll cake. The bottom has been cut off at a diagonal and placed to the side to create the look of a tree trunk and branch.
The cake spread with chocolate ganache.
The chocolate frosted cake with lines drawn through the frosting with a fork to create the look of tree bark.
Yule log complete! I don’t do a lot of baking or decorating, so I’m pretty dang proud of this!
Ooh, nice! I wasn’t brave enough to try the macaron mushrooms the recipe suggested.
Syrup-covered cranberries and rosemary springs on top of a parchment-lined sheet pan.
Going to attempt my first Bûche De Noël for Christmas this year! Getting the sugared cranberries and rosemary ready for decoration. 🍽️
Raw pie dough with herbed cream cheese.
Sautéed leeks, spinach, and mushrooms in a pan.
Finished galette—a brown and green filling of cooked mushrooms, peas, spinach, and leeks sits inside a golden pie crust.
Leek, spinach, mushroom and pea galette with herbs.
A bowl of yellow soup with carrots and dill sits on a plate alongside two pieces of buttered bread. A white dog looks at it jealously from below.
Made some lemon chicken orzo soup for dinner tonight. La Brea bread on the side. 🍽️
A cooked turkey with beautifully golden skin sits in a roasting pan on top of the stove. You can see flecks of thyme that were used in the dry brine rub under the skin.
Pretty dang proud of this turkey I made for Thanksgiving. Ina Garten’s recipe comes in clutch once again. 🍽️
A fireplace with string lights, Christmas stockings, and a little Christmas gnome next to a Christmas tree with colored lights and ornaments.
My husband suggested we move our Christmas tree out of the picture window and into the living room. I am in love with the cozy vibes.
