Wait, what?!

Some of y'all need to hear this: participating in cancel or call-out culture isn’t a substitute for organizing against institutions and structures of power. It can feel like action, but it doesn’t replace the harder work of building movements capable of changing material conditions.

Did you have to post that AI picture? Couldn't you have done literally anything else?

Exactly! "Not all men" but like, be super on your guard if alone with a man, or men in general, 'kthnxbye

Exactly! Or, at the least, stop feigning surprise when a celeb has a misstep. Even before social media, publicists were earning every penny keeping the image of their golden goose intact. Whether cultivating bad boy, good girl, rebel, or other archetype

Yes, also true. In the end, almost no celeb is perfect and the higher the pedestal we put our faves, the harder they fall. They are just people after all, and going to surprise us in the best and worst ways.

I think in Chappell's case there was also a bit of confirmation bias. I know plenty of queer folks who've been giving her side eye before this

I definitely think there is something to this theory. A lot of folks get nervous as details of others comes to light. You can almost see them going through the mental gymnastics

See also the DMs of many fats. The trope of us being the side piece, or secret booty call exists for a reason. πŸ˜’

I think a lot of people who are running the rape supporter's handbook are deeply unaware that it is the rape supporter's handbook.

The rape supporter's handbook is such a normal part of the average lexicon that you have to interrogate it to understand how it works.

Our annual subscription runs out next week, so been binging old favorites and a few movies I never watched when they came out.
As a grand finale, time to bring out the big dogs...er, foxes.

My mom actually made the gazpacho recipe -wasn't from this book - and as crazy as it sounds, it was pretty good. I mean it was the late 70s/early 80s, but definitely not the weirdest thing I've ever eaten.
But I will absolutely fight someone who tries to serve me green beans as guacamole.

I recalled in the stage musical the implication that Glinda knows. Like plausible deniability, but knows.

I haven't had a checkbook in easily a decade. When I need a check, the bank prints out a sheet of four.
I don't mind the focus on bringing back motor skills that writing in cursive encourages, but his thought process here is flawed... shocker.

Once again, we focus on the wrong things to support women's athletics.
So many abuses still exist in the training and coaching side, doping remains a huge issue, inequalities in funding or training resources, but sure let's hyper-focus on this.
The IOC continues to disappoint.

Just embarrassing.

Every day I struggle to believe we've devolved to this point in US history. Not even going to attempt diplomacy or decorum. Just right to xenophobia and poor taste.

I think I'd choose The Witch's Heart by Genevieve Gornichec. I listened to the audio book the first time and the references and mythology were very densely packed. I'd like to be able to read it all again to see it all at my own pace, and flip back and forth.
