I tried Doubles with slight pepper (a few drops of hot sauce) in Trinidad, and boy og boy was that something my scandinavian palate will never forget. The locals go "pepper" which is generous amounts of the burn.

p75 and p90 JavaScript bytes on the web have exploded since May, 2025—easily the largest 10 month period based on HTTP Archive data since 2023.

The long-tail is getting worse, very quickly.

Gemini, what happened in May 2025?

Må jo være kosteffektivt å drive kolibrihønsehus, det må jo være veldig arealeffektivt da!

Heter en hunn-kolibri kolibrihøne, forresten? 🤔

I just added this commit message to our repository:

"Add Tardis module to enable time travel"

Is this the peak of my career in software development? Where do I go from here?

Introducing the <geolocation> HTML element  |  Blog  |  Chrome for Developers Discover the new way to request user location data.

Introducing the <geolocation> HTML element developer.chrome.com/blog/geoloca... Wave goodbye to more tedious JS boilerplate code. As far as I'm concerned, UI stuff should all be declarative. Save JS for business logic (or React, if you're showcasing your new loading spinner designs).

It struck me today: if everybody follows the recommendation to wait n days to install dependencies to avoid supply chain attacks, nobody will detect the bad package until n days has passed. And we're all in the same boat. Again.

Eller stiløping når det blir teknisk...

Der kan et triks være å prøve aktiviteter som tar 100% av hjernekapasiteten når man holder på. Stisykling, off-piste ski og svømming (når man prøver å svømme teknisk riktig etc etc. ) funker ekstremt bra for meg.

"‘I think,’ she said carefully, ‘that perhaps too many people want things to be simple when they are not and cannot be. Encouraging that desire is seductive and rewarding, but also dangerous.’"

Norway has the same, where the word ( at least now) actually means mouth "Morgenstund har gull i munn". We also have the alternative version for people who hate early mornings "morgenstund er tull i grunn" which means more or less "mornings are basically ridiculous"

Living With Deep Dependency Structures Views on code, IT and the life of a Nerd

Wrote some words on how to live a moderately happy life with (too) many dependencies in javascript, docker and github actions, in the shadow of the resurgence of the Shai-hulud worm

AFAIK is much more expensive, and the AI overlords aren't making money on the subscription prices they currently have. They are making money by shuffling it around, NVIDIA investing in AI companies, using the money to buy chips in NVIDIA, which gives NVIDIA more money to invest etc.

Sometimes it's the little things in life.

My (work) life improved by _a lot_ when I discovered split view in chrome, displaying two tabs at once. Two for the price of one!

Font with Built-In Syntax Highlighting An experiment in javascript-free syntax highlighting, made possible by opentype contextual alternates and COLR table

If blog.glyphdrawing.club/font-with-bu... isn't some serious crazy scientist stuff in a font packaging, I don't know what is.

Mind. Thoroughly. Blown.

You're old enough to remember the time when all movies where 90 minutes long, right?

Same people.

Outlook claimed my boss was in UTC-7 and I mentioned in an email to him, where he responded with "yeah, that's wild. It's UTC-1 isn't it?"

UTC -1 in Scandinavia? Surely, Sir, you jest?

If only regular people really _cared_ about time zones, we would have a lot less trouble

Man burde jo benytte sjansen til å oppgradere til noe bedre enn next.js, spesielt ytelsesmessig.

Fordi brukerne fortjener bedre.
