Because literally 50/50 call themselves African-American and the other 50% call themselves Black.
Been like this for years.
I’m Black! Always been proud to simply be Black!
And what others feel about it, I think they should receive mental help if it bothers them🤷🏾♀️

This is the nuance, because there is no name attached to this “supposed” self-identifying “African-American” who supposedly wrote this.
There are many nuances to this statement.
Especially as it pertains to the term,
“African American”
And being that it was used in the 1700’s by a Black man in the United States,
