Practicing with a speedlight. These were caught in flight with a half second exposure before the flash

I accidentally discovered a new practical effect. I put two discs on a mirror panel intending to get a close up to compare rims and domes. I braced my phone against the edge of the panel for stability and found that if the edge of the mirror begins to occlude the sensor I get this effect

I’m not sure if this is #toyphotography or not…🤔
