"“Clinical analysis” is when analysts do work with patients in the clinic. “Applied analysis” is what we do when we perform an analytic reading of Virginia Woolf or analyze a wider social phenomenon, such as the functioning of a large organization like APsA."

Dana Birksted-Breen
The subject of Issue 6 is the work of Dana Birksted-Breen, former Editor-in-chief (2007 – 2022) of the IJP, who sadly passed away in 2024.
In honour of Dana's contribution to analytic thought, we prepared a (free) Reading List, featuring papers from the archives: www.theijp.org/reading-lists

Issue 6 of the International Journal of Psychoanalysis is now out, and is available to read on both T&F and PEP-Web (pep-web.org).
It is also the last issue that I will be working on, as I'll be shortly leaving the IJP to focus on some exciting new projects currently in the works.
