Yes. Yes it will.

Not a single mention of Luka on my timeline here…I’m clearly doing something wrong!
Thanks! This one has stayed with me, too. 😁
You can count on me!
False. Social rituals like those involved in Thanksgiving are actually the final step in the Myth of Jones.
Aww, that’s very kind of you to say!
Fair enough!
This is a great suggestion! Be careful, though: you might think someone is doing this with you when they’re actually using you to sub in so they can leave the conversation. (Another common AAR phenomenon. 😁)
Never! For those who don’t know, Martin is one of the funniest, cleverest, and kindest people in the field. You literally can’t “trade up” from him!
You should rank the AAR/SBL cities. That would be fun and no one would get mad, I bet.
(I can give you a head start: Chicago is dead last for AAR/SBL, and it’s not close, sadly.)
Ick indeed! I don’t think anyone does that anymore, but yikes, why did anyone ever do it?? Whoever it was definitely missed out.

Nope, absolutely fair!
Oof. Touché!
Good question! I’m a bit out of the loop…but I don’t think so. I think zoom interviews have taken their place. I’d actually be interested to hear if I’m mistaken about that!
Sorry to hear that! Yes, may the birds have mercy on us all this year. 😁
My first AAR, I was supposed to have an interview at the Hilton, but it turns out I was at the wrong Hilton. So I ran to the other one but the interviewers had already left.
That’s when I noticed that a bird had pooped all over my suit.
May you all have a better experience in San Diego!
Hi friends, as we are new to this platform, we need to rebuild our network from the other place. Could y'all help us out a bit? A little bit of crowd sourcing can go a long way! Do share our profile with those in your networks who you think might be interested the Divine work we do here in Aberdeen!
It’s a photo of a piece of paper covered in black ink.
Me, buying generic toner to save money:
I missed your presence on twitter. So I’m glad to have caught up with you again here!
As everyone here has been saying, this is not an echo chamber
4. The Explainer: some teachers are especially good at helping students understand things, whether by bringing difficult ideas down to earth or relating them to a larger context. Here I think of Angela Carpenter, Cornel West, and Sarah Hammerschlag.
3. The Pedagogue: these are people who have an extensive repertoire of teaching techniques and know when to deploy each of them. Neil Arner and Erin Galgay Walsh are both exceptional at this.
Thanks so much, Andy! I’m truly grateful for the way you’ve stepped up to help people find their way here.
I'm also feeling a bit like a disembodied self here, so I think I will import some representative tweets just so people get a feel for the sort of persona I maintain. This seems important, especially as so many people are trying to figure out who to follow. I may not be your cup of tea! 🙂
I really appreciated a lot of the connections I got to make over on Twitter. I would love it if I could maintain some of those connections here, and even find some new ones. If nothing else, I promise I will try not to make anyone's day worse.
