ux can be built for many modern apps that scales a hybrid of components through this flow depending on processing power, internet connectivity, and pricing/packaging

stuck on this one, thinking more generally about progressive enhancement

raw text, audio, video ->
"dumb processing" eg transcript, summary, editing ->
"smart processing" and generation eg contextual awareness of full picture and content creation

there are so many scenarios around this that would be fascinating

like just take washington, he finds out about nukes and he's inheriting the empire warts be damned

what does he say in sotu

app concept

you talk a sk(tw)eet into STT. you aim for short enough

if short enough, post. if not, fork to chatgpt and ask for minified version to fit. manual ๐Ÿ‘ and post

catch: limit includes url to OC audio recording to capture tone

now you can extend the benefit of the doubt until you can ๐Ÿ‘‚

but what you said at least starts to reinforce my unfounded assertion that the software side of things is being underserved. i suspect the space is skewed heavily towards people on the hw/manufacturing side of things

so cool you popped into the thread! this is a completely uninformed set of random skeet thoughts, so ty for the entrypoints on some actual research!

does anyone else go to therapy and just endlessly list tiny accomplishments as a way to procrastinate talking about actual ways to improve yourself?

"oh yeah, and then i cooked dinner, that was big, hadn't done that in a while...did I mention i read a book for like 20 mins the other day?"

just me?

some shoes from someone out of frame who happens to be reflected at an angle that aligns well with someone else's legs and it kinda looks funny

cool utopian vision tho (blackboxing the tech feasibility of everything)

we got txt2img & img2img, but could we get to txt2object? eg a white candle holder 6 inches in diameter with 4 bumps on the bottom to raise it off the table

then tweak it in a webapp and send it to the factory down the street

but i really do think it could work for much cheaper stuff

if i can 3d print a piece of plastic for cheaper than baba can ship it to me, it's seem intuitive that a local factory of 3d printers could make it for cheaper (and probably better) than me

right?

North America is now the growth leader for new battery factories | Hacker News

been on this kick exploring the space of whether it might make sense to do more domestic (particularly jit) manufacturing

just one data point on tsla stan blog, probably subsidized to high-hell, but good discussion on US factories โฌ‡๏ธ

if there's actually demand for these products, ๐Ÿคž it's sustainable
