For over a decade I've been wondering what this freaking font is, because I kept constantly seeing it in Japanese gaming media from the 80s and 90s. It wasn't until in recent years when I discovered that the font is called Tankoin AL-KL (淡古印 AL-KL) and it was made by Shaken (写研) in 1979.

A Commodore 1084D monitor showing the PC game AlleyCat running in composite video from a slightly modified CGA card, receiving a custom color clock input from an Arduino.
I bet you've never seen AlleyCat look quite like this before.

The YM2151 is similar enough to the Megadrive's YM2612 that I was able to copy the patches and get a fairly accurate Desert Strike theme tune cover going. Not quite nailed the pitch bends but the automation editing in this thing sucks r.n.
This is a big one: We brought on *three!* of the key players in the Sega Channel to reminisce about what it was like to build one of the first major game streaming platforms
We went so long that we broke it out into a bonus episode, exclusive to Patreon supporters!

macOS Mojave (the last 32-bit one) runs fine in qemu on linux, if you can suffer through the installation and updates for a few hours. Reaper audio playback seems to work fine, not even doing any hardware passthrough for video or audio. Resurrecting some old music projects from a 2014 macbook.

A press kit for Sunsoft, subtitled "Our imagination is limitless." It depicts an NES cartridge and its circuit boards flying through some kind of metal desert, watched over by a floating eye.

An unfinished painting of a young woman walking toward the viewer. There’s a cat on the ground next to her, and a bus stop and an old house in the background. She’s holding an electronic device in her hand, about the size of a paperback book.
Finally had a chance to spend more time painting today. Made some good progress! I might even finish this in time for the game launch next week?
Screenshot of Enigma Heart. Zalia is in the house of an old woman. A calico cat is sitting behind the old woman. Zalia is sitting on a crate. Zalia's dialogue box reads, "Cute cat. What's its name?"
"Annoying customer."

If you are a homebrew game dev of a system that runs on MiSTer (GB, NES,MD, etc) with a free version or a free demo of you game, I’d love to include it in SuperStation’s Season 1 Homebrew DLC Pack.

Photo of me speaking at Ubisoft Toronto for International Women's Day. There's a banner to the left reading "Ubisoft Toronto, established 2010", a Farcry banner, and in the upper right a bit of my slideshow presentation. There's also a really nice brick wall in the background, because the studio is housed in a heritage building that was built in 1922.
