Hah! That is nothing compared to the things I can forget 🤣

Holy cow, that's unhinged!
'Texas A&M philosophy professor Martin Peterson is leaving the university after administrators told him in January that he couldn’t teach Plato’s Symposium in his philosophy class; they said the ancient Greek philosopher’s work violated the system’s restrictions on gender and sexuality content.' 1/3
That picture looks exactly like at least two playgrounds I played on as a kid! I remember them being so much fun
NYC study shows men are 2.6x more likely than women to bike to work. When protected bike lane coverage is high, women’s cycling rates rise significantly faster than men’s.
When protected lanes are limited or fragmented, women’s participation drops sharply.
Good bike investments give women choices.
Wow, a fact that should certainly not be circulated. Those metals are lonely.
Because I haven’t had enough strangers being weirdly hostile over things that should be settled issues for people who claim to be on the left today:
If you use a disease or a symptom of a disease or really any involuntary trait as an insult, you’re being a piece of shit.
Oh wow I haven't played that in ages. I think I might need to
Meanwhile my spouse is sending me gemini memes and those hurt 🤣
The relationship is also visible in reverse. “Districts with the most women who bike to work have nearly six times as much protected bike lane access as those with the fewest.”

NEW: Porsha Ngumezi and Nevaeh Crain died during miscarriages in Texas after doctors delayed treatment.
The state’s medical board has ruled that substandard care led to the deaths, but the doctors were given minimal punishment.

In a non car-brained world, the fact that elite cyclists are regularly hit, and often killed, by drivers should lead some of the victim blaming people out there to question what they're saying. You can do everything right and still die.
Students in the Texas Tech system (64k, give or take) are now PROHIBITED from researching or writing anything "centered on" sexual orientation or gender identity as part of an undergrad honors or graduate thesis. Not faculty, mind you. Students.
In a blatant 1st Amendment violation, students in the Texas Tech University system are completely banned from researching or writing anything related to sexual orientation or gender identity as part of their thesis.
I wouldn't have believed this DoJ could do something right, but here we are. Wtf Seaworld?
SeaWorld is being sued by the Department of Justice for banning seated rollators from its parks.
SeaWorld claims the mobility aids are being used improperly and offers “alternative” mobility aids for guests.
BLUESKY IS A WEBSITE THAT TURNS (post by jay.bsky.team claiming that bluesky is made with AI) INTO (picture of bluesky not working)

Those fuckin wave bicycle racks are everywhere here 😢
I need a modern version of Carmen Sandiego - but it's gotta have the Rockapella theme in it somewhere 🤣
Well clearly there's only one way to go from here - you must construct additional pylons 😁
a pylon on a yellow bikelane line next to a speedbump
This single pylon stopped drivers from using the bike lane to avoid the speed bump
It's almost as if design dictates behaviour.
It’s infuriating when a woman comes forward about a man raping her in his hotel room after drinking and the response is “Why would she go to his room?” “Why would she drink with him?” This is Mike Pence logic. Women should be allowed to hang out with men without expecting they will be raped.
I can't manage stairs, and it would upset the cats 🤣
Why do so many Americans die while walking?
To find out, I spoke with University of New Mexico’s Nick Ferenchak, who leads the only US research center focused specifically on pedestrians and cyclists.
TL;DR: Fast urban roads are a huge factor, and car bloat amplifies risk.
Well done season 7 #ROCbyBike guest contributors! Thanks for giving us a glimpse of your bike life during the “off season.” This fun guest series will resume in November. www.instagram.com/roccycling/ #ROC #RochesterNY
Played it for the first time recently! It absolutely works as a love letter to LttP. It feels so good to play
I'd bike commute to work but I can't manage stairs and the cat might get annoyed 🤣
every time i take a trip by rail i feel like i am sticking it to the man. i thought about it this morning and since swapping to an ebike+rail commute i estimate having saved around $2500 in fuel/parking, maybe $2000-$2500 in insurance, god knows how much on maintenance, and even more on time + mood.
Last week, a worker one of Amazon's Portland area facilities died on the warehouse floor. Employees were told to look away and keep working.
