I will never, ever, understand people who want to outsource their humanity. Learning how to make something feels amazing. And I mean the whole process, including the frustrating times. Because then you know you MADE it. You can't feel genuine pride in something you didn't make.

At last, I have finished my drawing! Here it is: ink drawing featuring 12 princesses walking in side profile to the right. They are walking through an orchard that hangs with crystal pears and (were this in color) silver and gold branches. The princess at the front has a lantern. The princess at the back is looking startled over her shoulder.

Some artist growth has been attained during last two years of active drawing. I looked at the comic pages I drew yesterday, saw that half of the panels need to be re-drawn or tweaked AND I'm not even mad about it.

Old me would've been angsty about not being good enough and not bothered. Victory!
