Enough COVID infections will eventually take care of COVID denialism.

By brute force.

They will either cause enough damage to convince, or to forever shut you up.

To summarize
-waves are not seasonal
-vaccines are waning
-people are getting long covid
-it’s still not an endemic disease
-very young kids are at increased risk because they didn’t go through the initial vaccine series

Oh and it turns out, Covid Cautious people have been right the whole time.

I've tried to stop covid scolding and just let people carry on, but it really burns my biscuits when someone's like "how can I avoid covid?" and you're like "wear an N95 or better, and to avoid breathing public unfiltered air," and they're like "oh I meant how can I avoid it without trying."

This is the same eugenic belief system that many still hold re: the ongoing pandemic. They believe people’s deaths from covid are acceptable if they’re medically vulnerable. It’s a disgusting ableist belief system and this rhetoric surrounding children in Gaza is the natural consequence of that

I taught art and when students would say "I just can't draw" I'd ask how much time they spent practicing. They would stare back at me blankly.

Then I'd turn to the kids that COULD draw and ask them how much they practice and they were like "I draw all day every day"

I can’t square the following:

1. covid, and many other respiratory viruses, are (still) out there causing long-term damage to multiple organ systems
2. well-fitted respirators, by the very laws of physics, protect both you and those around you
3. no-one is masking

Leave Those Kids Alone Bullying a child for wearing a mask exposes a stark hypocrisy in some people's view of personal freedom.

Normalising mask 😷 wearing is overdue.

Adams: There are a lot of people involved in the administration who criticize pharma, but have no problem promoting ivermectin and supplements. So it’s a little disingenuous to say those people are grifters but then say you should trust us, even though we profited off these unvalidated remedies

If you eat in indoor restaurants ever, you're NOT Covid safe.

This fool enrages me.

I bet they don't even wear their KN95 consistently

And they are wondering why their brain and body are so damaged from 5+ infections

My infection count? 0. I do not breathe other people's air except by respirator

when it comes to colonization, the colonizer is not satisfied with land theft and exploitation but it has to manufacture the colonized as backward, savage, inferior.

No, AI shouldn't be used at all. It's an ecological disaster in the making, and an unreliable source full of corporate interests behind. We need to make it disappear and restore internet. Nobody ever needed AI, it's toxic propaganda/marketing weaponized against the population.

Here's the latest SARS-CoV-2 variant picture for Singapore.

After a wave driven by NB.1.8.1 "Nimbus", the XFG.* "Stratus" variant climbed to dominance quite quickly, peaking perhaps at 61%.

There is a large green digital billboard display with the words COVID-19 CAUSES...
BRAIN DAMAGE
DEMENTIA
IMMUNE DAMAGE
HEART PROBLEMS
DIABETES
CHRONIC ILLNESS
N95
ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION
ANYONE CAN GET LONG COVID, EVEN KIDS.
MASK UP AND STAY SAFE. On it. There is also a graphic of a purplish virus particle, and a white n95 mask. There are also 3 vehicles in the picture, two are dark blue suvs and the other is a white car. There are buildings in the background and a patch of grass in front of the parking lot where the vehicles are. It is a sunny day.

Covid numbers are rising and we trying to get the word out. Here are the first two billboards so far this summer and I’ll be working to keep putting them out well into the fall.
If you want to help me continue the campaign any help is appreciated.

Here are the leading countries reporting NB.1.8.1 "Nimbus". There seem to be 3 tracks:
- China and South Korea are reporting a clean sweep or close to it.
- Singapore and Australia show steady growth to 60-70%
- growth in the US, UK and Canada has been lower at 20-30%.

Here's the latest variant picture with a global scope, to late June.

The NB.1.8.1 "Nimbus" and XFG.* "Stratus" variants are battling for dominance in an unclear picture. So far they have each been succeeding in different countries.

Also, do wear a respirator, stop spreading disease, protect your communities from transmissible diseases, protect those with disabilities, care for the common people. Read a book about social justice now and then.

Good morning peeps x

A pen and watercolor drawing of a mouse putting the finishing touches on a painting of a hunk of cheese on a plate. The mouse is wearing a red beret, light brown smock/coat and sage green pants. There is a piece of paper on the ground with color swatches painted on it. There is a very light beige watercolor wash in the background behind the mouse and easel. Art by me.

I know everything is particularly nightmarish right now, but I wanted to share this new illustration. It's my humble attempt at injecting a moment of lightness into the dumpster fire that is our current world. I hope you like this little artist, putting the finishing touches on his painting. 🎨

So…single women who join the military…can be denied healthcare if an individual VA employee doesn’t like them…that’ll be rough here in the good Christian south I imagine.

This isn't about scientists alone. NIH generates jobs and economic investment in communities across the country. This is an attack on your community, your state, your livelihood, your health, your survival. H/T @joeallenjoe.bsky.social.

Great thread Mark. Well said. These days food/bev establishments should all REQUIRE employees to mask. I never eat in but if I get takeout I’d rather it not be sprinkled with germy aerosols & droplets 😷✌🏼

When you look at the US and see easily-prevented infectious diseases getting out of control, oligarchs stealing everything that's not nailed down and a lot that is, and workers stomped into the mud - if you like what you see, then spend your money at Starbucks.

But if you don't - then don't.

Gambling with bird flu is asking for trouble — and another pandemic Canada Healthwatch | The most important health news, in one place. 🍁

US companies endangering Canadian workers must be put in their place. COVID is out of control, measles is spreading, bird flu up next - helped along by Starbucks' MAGA buddies.

When a politician comes doorknocking, ask them what they will do to protect workers from abusive employers like Starbucks.
