Picture it: Grantsville, West Virginia, 2000. Suddenly, residents of this small town are transported back to 1632 Germany. What comes next can be found within the pages of Eric Flint’s 1632 book series, also known as Ring of Fire.

Fantastic news! Might need to dust off some ideas…
The ultimate generic anime series title: "Record of Being Reborn a Slime Hero in a Certain Academia"
My day job (self-employed) includes wandering around the internet and keeping track what people say about PbtA. Occasionally a new one will pop up.
Lately I've been seeing "in a PbtA game, you shouldn't be rolling dice that often anyway."
I'm like, you shouldn't what now? Where did THIS come from?
Trying to decide if I want to hit Origins for a couple days.
Oh, this is truly fantastic news!
“This game has always been about two things: Cannibalism and commercial real estate. Which means it’s about one thing.” —Our UA GM
Fucking Sterling.
GURPS Technomancer
Today, I’ll say Technomancer.
Drawing of a party of heroes fighting lizard dudes.
Let me draw for your thing. I've been told I'm quick, friendly, and affordable!
On a scale of 1 to 5 (1 being “very unsatisfied” and 5 being “very satisfied”), how would you rate the service of your best friend(s) in aforementioned “darkest time of your life”?
Hear ye, hear ye! 📣
I’m officially freelancing again. My word count is up, and I’m ready to jump into some non-Mythos projects for a change of pace.
If your project needs a wordslinger, designer, or historian, hit me up at darkerhuestudios@gmail.com with the basics. Let’s make something cool. ✍️

Let's make your thing! #ttrpg
Avengers Annual #8 (Jan 1979). Cover pencils by George Pérez and inks by Terry Austin. The cover shows the Wasp possessed by Dr. Spectrum's Power Prism and wearing his costume. She is attacking the Avengers with this new power, blasting Thor while Iron Man, the Vision, and Ms. Marvel lie unconscious in the foreground.
So I grabbed this cover because it reminded me of a Mutants & Masterminds #TTRPG thing I was just writing, namely how a team villain like Dr. Spectrum from the Squadron Sinister becomes a threat to an entire hero team like the Avengers and then goes back to being a villain team member:

i don't think i like games whose mechanics "fade into the background", I like games where the fact they're a game is always present, where you can see the designer's fingerprints on everything, you know?
I know people know LRR mostly for magic content (especially here) but we also spend a lot of time making bonkers sketch comedy, like this video about how to kill a rock.

I got a job. I start Wednesday. It will be nice to have income again.
Running a Kickstarter campaign is usually so stressful. This one has been a joy. If you like weird little horror stories, please check out The Deer God and Other Stories!

In #GURPS tonight, one of my PCs let another PC force choke her near to death so she could astral project and follow a teenage girl's spirit back to its body.
I based my game Crashing Beasts & Crumbling Halls on it, among other things.
