New research shows astronauts tend to grip objects in microgravity as if they felt as heavy as or heavier than they would on Earth, a finding that could help future space exploration
I truly believe the only thing stopping Donald Trump from announcing that his head will be added to Mt. Rushmore is his obsession with getting big ratings ("who even goes to South Dakota")

I agree with the sentiment. But while the Earthrise image emphasises Earth's fragile environment, it does so by contrasting it with a supposedly dead and barren Moon. A dead Moon justifies mining with no environmental constraints. The Moon has a right to its ecological integrity.

I would love to know more about the work in question in this story, which is only vaguely described - no title or artist is given. www.thediplomaticaffairs.com/2026/01/29/t...
Fascinating story about cultural capture through the US State Department's power over the "Art in Embassies" program and the US Pavilion at the Venice Biennale. There's "satanic baby art," a pet-shop owner turned pavilion commissioner, and a disgraced curator.
