Digital illustration on vertical canvas Theme: Pin-up / Valentine's day Character: My OC Vampirka, she/her #ExperimentalArt #ValentinesDay #Vampire At it's core, it's a redraw of a vintage pin-up illustration that's been popular this year - "Have a Heart" by Gil Elvgren. It shows a model sitting on a chair with a big red cut-out of a heart held infront of her torso. My image is similar though not a 1:1 redraw, as I wanted the character to be leaning forwards a bit. Vampirka is a very tall vampire lady with very shirt pink hair that has hearts sticking out of it. She's fully nude, though nothing scandalous is seen due to the pose and the heart cut-out she's holding. She is only wearing a pair of silver heels and a wink. The colour palette is limited and largely low-contrast with sort of a peach pink backgroud that is the same as Vampirka's skin, which has a couple of highlights in a very slightly more yellow/lighter tone. Left quarter of the image is a textured line with jagged edges, and the rest of the image is sprinkled with red and pink hearts. On the right-side of central Vampirka is another lineless 'hidden' vampirka, who's body is mostly invisible, but indicated by the red of her lip, eye and necklace, pink hair, and a red hand resting on what is implied to be her butt. In the bottom right corner is a stylized puddle of blood. She is a vampire after all.
