Where is the detour? No information about where the detour is. Is it at Centennial College? There's no signage or anyone indicating a detour here and people have been waiting 20-30 minutes for a bus. 903 is operating in and out of the college. What's the issue?

Also #TTC #Crosstown line enthusiasts, it's totally normal to have grass along where streetcars run. Case in point in the picture at #Amsterdam Zuid station. #Toronto

One thing I really like about public transport in Amsterdam ( #GVB) are the estimated arrival times at upcoming stops on board vehicles. They also indicate what connections are available at each stop. Take note #TTC and #Metrolinx

To recap, rail construction equipment issue on Netherlands Rail (NS) meant that instead of being able to get to Antwerp from Rotterdam, we were told to go to Den Bosch, Breda & then Antwerp.

To translate, that's like going from Scarboro to Union via Pickering and Markham. And yes, add 2 hours.

The best part of Belgium for me is being able to eat this freshly churned ice cream from Pierre Marcolini. Black sesame yum! Was planning making a trip into Brussels just for this.

Nice thing about being in a geographically small and well connected rail country is you only need a 30 minute détour via another city to get to your final destination.

Also, when in the Netherlands don't eat the Korean Stacker from #KFC. It tastes like a budget #McDonald's Teriyaki McCrispy. All of these things are terrible. Fun Squid Games branding though. I like my bread fun colours.

As wonderful as public transport in the Netherlands is, so far this week, I've experienced numerous bus and tram cancellations in Amsterdam and a national rail service disruption because of construction equipment failure. Nothing is as smooth as people make it out to be. #Netherlands
