For me, SUPERMAN is very much like BARBIE: A good movie that takes some big swings, not all of which landed for me, but that I’m thrilled exists for people who really needed what it was trying to say.

Superman was a fantastic movie! I had some nitpicks, but it was overall a great time.
Good action, great acting, a great story. What more can you ask for?
I still believe in the idea of America, the idea that’s never been fully implemented for all people, and certainly not this perversion that was always going to be the outcome of a politics of fear and hate. That said, the Fourth of July tomorrow feels like a particularly mean joke.
Everyone who voted yes on the BBB, I hope you all choke on Legos
We should all be more like Popeye.
We have strayed so far from God's light.
Regarding the Presidency and his cabinet, if you were to give me infinite time and 100 page files on every adult in this country....I don't think I could create a dumber administration than Trump's
As a man born in South Dakota, and was there when Kristi Noem took office....I would like to apologize we didn't do a better job keeping her contained there.
Personally, I thought her incompetence would have kept her from any important positions of power, but I forgot we live in crazyville usa
Trumps entire regime is a sketchy ceiling fan, constantly wobbling and moving while it runs.
People can trick themselves into thinking everything is alright and fine, but that fan is coming down sooner than ya think. And it's going to be messy.
Btw, i know this is nonsensical rambling, but it is still a possibility that the people forcing AI into us have prolly never once considered.
Honestly, rather than killing us or putting us in pods ala the matrix, they could force us into worse debt than anything we've ever faced and the Bots can starve us to death, in a sense.
The bots aren't going to need food or water. Threatening their power source hurts humans too...ignoring that by this hypothetical point. AI will be too ingrained into society that humans wouldn't function without them. (We're talking total dystopian future here)
Even if they don't go full Terminator on us, the next thing humanity should be concerned with is if they want things and corporations can't provide them.
It's like the Superman issue "What Do You Give the Man Who Has Everything?"
Has the closest thing to human sentience...and all AI does is mimic what humans do....
How are they going to deal with compensation for the AI?
Aight, another ramble because I have thoughts that I want to get out, but don't care enough to like, right an essay about it.
AI. Fuck it.
Most people aren't fans of it, and no one asked for it. But here's my question...what are corporations going to do when they inevitably create an AI that..🧵
Foolishly, I thought the "Tate Check" had to do with British Actress, Catherine Tate, and was very curious.
Then I remembered Andrew Tate exists......
But then again, I'm not in this community. My wife and I are perfectly happy with how we live and I don't do a lot of posting. Anyone who follows me will prolly be confused to see a novel on their feed.
But this still confuses me, and I wanted to ramble about it. Thanks y'all!
And the whole thing about Trad Wives is going back to this "simpler" time where men brought in the money and women were homemakers.
But if the woman is making money by posting their videos and posts, then is she still traditional?
I'd say no.
And obviously, idk how much they make off this kind of thing, idk how much anyone makes off of social media sponsors.
But if you make an amount of money in the ball park of what some people make at a full time job.....then don't they just have.....a job?
But, and this is the part I don't get. According to the videos talking about and critiquing Trad Wives, a fair number of these women get sponsorships, do ads for companies, and allow tv crews in to film their lives and do interviews
Especially the sponsorship part, aren't these women making money?
And I'm not talking about casual, once in a few days, posts. I mean they post daily, sometimes multiple times a day.
Also, I get this could be a hobby, I'm not against occasional posting as a hobby or even just a thing to do.
Ok, so I know the controversies around Trad wives and I know how it can manipulate people. But setting that aside.
How are these people "Traditional" if they post their lives on social media?
Aight, time for another ramble by me:
Via casually (and sometimes actively) listening to my wife's YouTube stuff, I know what a Trad Wife is.
But there is an aspect to it that boggles my noggin to no end. 🧵
Discworld QOTD, from Feet of Clay
I will admit, that was just a theory I thunked up.
Like you either died on Galifrey then and there or you managed to escape but got smacked with something that rendered you sterilized, meaning that no one fully escaped the death particle.
(SPOILER WARNING FOR SERIES 12)
And here I was thinking the sterilization had to do more with what the Master did at the end of Series 12.
That he used that death particle and anyone near that (like the Doctor and the Rani) were sterilized as part of that death particle stuff.
