Okay thoughts after almost 24 hours + seeing the Taylor movie:

There are two good songs on this album but they're so good it
almost makes up for the rest of it!

(Opalite and Father Figure, will be curious if this changes over time)

Solidly half this album feels like I'm listening to the Now and Then soundtrack

Regrettably I think I needed to be famous and/or in love with an NFL player to relate to any of this! Now accepting applications for NFL boyfriends and/or well-funded creative projects.

Likewise when I saw how many songs had an E next to them I knew I couldn't play it around my parents 😅

Honestly really surprised Father Figure is not Track 5! It feels a lot more vulnerable and revealing than Eldest Daughter (or rather, revealing in a more vulnerable way, I guess?)

The way Taylor sings "Don't you sweat it, baby" near the end of Opalite scratches my brain right.
