A really appalling editorial decision that needs to be called out.

Any new money into horse racing is welcome, but I think the new David Power Jockeys Cup is a dreadful waste of £1.5 million that could have made a significant difference elsewhere.
All the prize money will be won by the top jockeys who do very nicely already, thank you.

I very much hope that this will be a kinder, less toxic place than the other one.
But can anyone explain why they think it actually will be once it becomes much more popular and widely used?

Dreadfully sad news that Timothy West has died. One of those people who through his roles, most notably Canal Journeys you felt that you knew. He came across as a lovely human being. His care of his wife as dementia struck her was hugely touching. Awful news for his family, but particularly for her.

I do find the instant negativity surrounding the appointment of the new BHA CEO sad & predictable in equal measure.
His CV & track record strikes me as varied, impressive & relevant, packed with senior roles in major sporting events, media, business & politics.
