Hi this joke is for me
Twin Peaks wouldn't load today, so instead I had random Shooting Stars episodes on in the background while working. Such a good idea I feel great in my soul
I can understand the length of time this job is taking the workers just by feeling what the sky is making me feel

Apparently theres even a "lost cut" of the movie that's lost media
Felt inspired upon my return from pub to do a quick Logan sketch before getting back on responsibilities
Deffo my fave Spider-Man FX in terms of web swinging and wall crawling, but I can't help feeling like Sony kept reshaping an OG idea.
This could have been gayer, is what I am saying
Just rewatched the Amazing Spiderman with my parents - it almost holds up. Its narrative dangles like a spider by the main love story alongside the distracting plot and the editing, which are constantly at ends with the audience's intelligence. But the SFX and costume design are second to none imo
As fun as timelapses are, there are a couple of turn-offs:
-It can feel like drawing when everyone's watching
-It can feel like drawing for the admiration of countless strangers
-Art is best when done in the privacy between talent and tool
Probs wont do any more. It's just not as fun when done irl
Did another - I'm intrigued by the Supergirl trailer and her apparent remedy for kryptonian trauma seems v close to home. Funny how sometimes our Kryptonite disguises itself as our savior

Life after one variant cover
I have hope
How many more famous and successful creatives need to create crowdfunding campaigns for healthcare, that royalties from film/TV would've paid for? It's already too many
Drawing in a pub for my day off. The locals are talking and they like "X called me a dozy bint the other day!"
Now they're all calling eachother bints every now and then. Legit the first time I've actually heard the word used outside of MPATHG and internet arguments. This is amazing love my name
A new study from UC Santa Barbara shows that watching experimental animation expands creativity and opens new ways of seeing the world.

The awesome But Why Tho? gives Killtopia: Phantoms #1 its first 5-star review 😳
“It feels like a new story, a sequel. It’s the same world, but Cook and Bint have completely reinvented it.”
This has seriously made my day.

Absolutely shattered - only just wrapping up the work day. Multiple simultaneous commissions isn't always fun, but showing off what I've been up to always is
Looks like I can finally talk about this!
"Hidden Dangers continues with a new comic anthology of newly produced Thunderbirds comic adventures, edited by Dan Whitehead..."
Got some fantastic people working on this, can't wait to start showing it off.

Don’t miss out on the reprint of my beat ‘em up history book. We keep selling out! 😳
It’s a deep dive on 40 years of the genre, from Streets of Rage and Final Fight, to modern genre heavyweights.
Upon reflection, I am objectively correct
The Force Awakens etc. are good at simulating the feeling of "fresh" but only because they're cannibalising what already exists. You don't need drugs to create something new, but reliving the Nth incarnation of established IPs is rotting our brains and culture and AI is just copying that
I'm just saying. The 80s were a thing (sniff) and we got some amazing art - Robocop etc. If we are determined to make everything CGI - unlimited visual potential - and we decide to focus on realism and slop slop? Um, get some acid involved?? Just from my notes.
Hot take stuck in my notes I wanna articulate - how I feel about recent blockbusters is that Hollywood is made of people who care too much about money and not enough about LSD which is why they are selling us IPs but not an experience that stays with us as an audience. Not advocating drug use ofc
