This is appalling but also, as someone in the college applications zone, I continue to be shocked at how little *this state may restrict what your college student can learn* comes up in the lists and discussions of "best" colleges

Why is ICE buying so many warehouses, and what does this have to do with the warehouse's shifting place in the US economy? In Places Journal, I chronicle the long arc of Warehousing's carceral geography and the speculative building boom that ICE is absorbing. placesjournal.org/article/the-...

It's still absurd! But the exhibit is great.

The one thing people seem to agree on about New LACMA is the beauty of the gold curtains by Reiko Sudo ... and there is a long history of modern architects learning to accept curtains for the good of humanity

TIL there is a Noah Kahan Boat & Tote and I must salute the merch team www.llbean.com/llb/shop/891...

I'm not into his music but Strafford is two towns over from where my extended family lives so I comb all coverage for Upper Valley references.

She also did her add in the manner of Gwyneth's Boyfriend Breakfasts, as if this were just another way to stay healthy and serve (in both meanings of the word)

The greatest city in the world should have the greatest streets in the world — they shouldn't be covered in bags of trash.

Containerization is common sense. The rest of the world figured this out a long time ago!

This is actually giving me some insight into how I am using Reddit / how other people use Reddit that is useful! My last specific use was "is the site down for other people" for state park reservations.

👏🏾 We've seen this phenomenon happen in Chicago and Philly as well.

Our young people desperately need in-person third spaces. We didn't do "teen takeovers" and "flash mobs" back in the day because we had a myriad number of places that we could go.

I loved the way it was installed previously! I think those pieces need some enclosure — even this one I saw last week in NOLA has a wall

All the other critics are in LA this week seeing the new LACMA (New York Times gets to go first as always) so I decided to revisit the questions I asked back in 2015 www.alexandralange.net/blog/374/let...

These still seem like good questions!
