Yeah they did really well c: I do wish some of the RPG lore would get thrown in at some point as that is where the Mario universe is at some of its best

I think this was the first new movie I watched since the first Mario Movie 3 years ago😅
I spent the first 2 thirds trying not to cry at every scene😭

My emotions are so deep now, I need to start feeling them more I guess😂 Might be why I'm avoiding new games and shows🤔

I'm super glad I read somewhere beforehand that there are TWO post credits scenes c:

The first was great, but the second one is at the very end. I was the only one who stuck around for my viewing😂

It's sequel bait of course, but I'm super excited because of it for the next one🥹

I won't spoil it directly, even though it was revealed in advertising.
But the main cameo sticking around for as long as they did was really unexpected for me.

They fit in rather well and I'm happy with the portrayal
I look forward to more crossover characters in future entires✨

As a long time Mario fan, the references were so much more abundant in this movie (may be recency bias)
I wasn't expecting so much cross over with so many mainline and even some side titles

They were very tastefully done too! very happy 😊

The game audio use for every element is also wonderful🥹

The direct plot points between the whole cast has me reeling a little bit.
I think I'm very used to how subtle Nintendo's story telling is with Mario in paticular. Its a bit of a gutpunch for me and I'm working through it😆

Rosalina's voice was very pretty !
I wish she spoke more if I'm honest🙂

Jr.'s voice on the other hand felt like a slap initally, but it did grow on me as it went on
I still remain unsure though.

I slightly disliked how overly competent he is in comparison to his father, but it worked well enough for the movie plot c:

What I disliked most about the first movie, was Jack Black as Bowser
I hated his song and it didn't feel much like Bowser to me (I'll need to rewatch soon)

I'm happy to say that I very much enjoyed his performance in this film. One of my favourites !
He felt genuine to every Bowser depiction I know

Update: I really enjoyed the movie!
Before I arrived to watch it a kid booted a football right into the back of my head😭
I've been home an hour or so, I'm emotionally drained and still have a headache from being hit😖
I'll post my opinions on the movie soon, when I feel up to it😂

It was really good, ty! I think I agree, it was quite a bit better than the first one c: and I liked the first one a lot
