Because of Kickstarter's annoying feature, we won't be able to add in names for the final page of the zine until the 24th.
So we're forced to move our release date of the zine from the 15th to the 30th.
Good morning everyone! We have made an update post on our Kickstarter page after discovering an oversight with the backer survey.
tld; Kickstarter doesn't let the creator see results for 3 weeks without notifying us this would happen after we made our timeline.
We will want names by April 10th, as we'll be wrapping up the last bit of the zine formatting and layout. It'll take a bit of time to add all 200+ names to the zine after all!
If some people do not fill out the survey in time, we will simply use the name on the backer report!
For physical backers you'll be adding your address for shipping. Alongside the name you'd like us to put on the thank you page!
Other tiers will also be requested a preferred name!
For those who backed our project, Kickstarter will be sending out the backer surveys tomorrow!

Thanks Aelizar! However there may be a chance of a bad faith person. Potentially a scammer who backed 3.5k to hit the goal before the campaign ends, so Kickstarter will get back to us to see if they're legitimate or not! There is a high possibility that it is a scam as they did not select a reward!

SMYC Stream on the 27th of March, 2026. At 7pm EST the text writes that there will be a preamble with the zine creator Viper Menace, alongside Orokothe, Jeonzarias and potentially more! Below at 8pm EST the stream will begin with Gartic Phone minigames. Then at 9pm EST we'll have a magma art session with several of the artists on the zine project. Finally at 10pm EST will be the Viewer Character Submissions! Viewers who back the Kickstarter can make doodle requests! Plus at the end, chat has us make an oc. At the bottom of the page is a chibi of the robot Thorn with the logo of the zine.
Tomorrow we'll be holding an art stream in the evening! Join us for some silly robot art as we power through the final night of the Kickstarter!

First 2 images are sketched ideas for mainly the front (as the back was always meant to be complimentary to the front) - it was made ideal to make the character obscured and androgynous as the zine features a spectrum of robot OCs with differing gender-identities :)

Going into this zine I was intending to use a more masculine-leaning robot OC, but then I realized there were not many feminine-leaning OC's so I decided on my OC, Delta, to have a wider range of character designs in this zine! <3

However at the end of the sale we will split the proceedings evenly with all the artists, so they'll be able to receive even just a smaller amount.
So even if the Kickstarter does not make it, the zine will still be available in the next 2 weeks 💖
Some discussions were had that in the event of the Kickstarter not making it, we will simply just do a sale on Big Cartel with the digital bundle for 2 months.
Without the Kickstarter, we won't be able to do physical merch, or have the artists get properly compensated.
We're at 66% of the Kickstarter and less than 3 days left of the project! We've got so much wonderful robot art made with love and passion.
