HUGE
deer browse/rub it down to groundhog height -> hogs munch it down to rabbit height -> rabbit girdles the stem for good measure
what about you?
hoping to make it out to this lakeplain prairie remnant and take photos they can use to fundraise with (it's going up for sale)
oak cultivars are criminal. sycamore is great. honey locust and coffee tree are overdone here. non-native fruit trees are permissible. never enough redbud. tone down the catalpas. bring back elms.
yeah that's cool! i need to find an autumn olive big enough to make something out of
nice find
nice!! how was it carving lemon wood?
dude same
Death to israel
thanks!
what color are they ripe/time of year to check? im in
but I like the classics walnut and cherry. maple is also very nice, elm is interesting, basswood is soft and easy to carve, hickory for tool handles, oaks for chair legs... check out 'the wood database' if you're interested or killing time
That's the beauty of it... Almost anything with straight section (and some crooks too) has some use. Apparently Norway maple was probably used to make many Stradivarius violins
arborist? save me some wood

realizing i need one today as my current spot is exposed to office -> food court encounters
