In 1970 the UK and Norway were roughly equal, almost no debt, and owned all their Public Services.

Now the UK owns nothing and has £3tn of debt.

While Norway still owns everything and has the equivilant of +£18.42tn.

That's how privatisation 'works'.

Jeremy Corbyn: Remembering Auschwitz, Fighting Today As we mark the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, we must remember the heroic resistance of many inmates to inspire our struggle against renewed fascism today.

Fascism doesn’t arrive in uniform overnight. It arrives with suited politicians, one piece of legislation — or executive order — at a time.

My piece for @tribunemagazine.bsky.social to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.

Glasgow child sex abuse gang given life sentences The victims were abused over a seven-year period in a Glasgow drug den which became known as "the beastie house".

But Nigel told me it was only Asian men who did this. Surely he wouldn't lie would he?

A bird's-eye view of a former Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp showing a wide dirt pathway flanked by parallel rows of barbed-wire fences. Groups of visitors walk along the path, surrounded by the remnants of brick structures and barracks, now reduced to foundations. Green grass contrasts with the somber history of the site, as the path leads toward a guard tower in the distance.

Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers.

This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.

The thing to understand about Trump is like in his first term, he doesn’t want to govern. He doesn’t want to learn. He wants to campaign and look good.

Republicans know this. So there are battles going on right now to take control of the actual process of governing.

@knoxharrington.bsky.social As to your question on the Friday night, it seems the second legs would be Anfield for the last 16 and the QF's based on which bracket we're in. The semi final looks to be away for both the 1st and 2nd seeds if both did go that far.
