I’ve upgraded to a Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid SUV. I already tried out an overnight stay in the vehicle and had a very comfortable and restful sleep. This is my retirement gift to myself. I’m looking forward to traveling, visiting state and national parks, and spending abundant time out in nature.

I’m celebrating 18 months of living out of my car. What started as an effort to hack the system to avoid the prohibitively high cost of housing and save lots of money has led to an incredible journey of self-discovery, healing, and joy. I live a life of considerably more freedom and abundance.

Had a snowstorm that dumped several inches overnight. Didn’t have to clear anything off my car because I stayed in a covered parking garage. Got a good night of sleep in my zero degree sleeping bag. Plan to spend time at the library after work. It’s my favorite place to hang out on days like this.
