Question for experts of the paranormal: has there ever been an instance when missed free throws came back to haunt a team?

Meta just paid the lowest effective federal tax rate in its history.
Thanks to tax breaks and loopholes, it avoided $13.7B in 2025 federal income taxes.
But now it's planning to lay off 10% of its global workforce (8,000 people) by May 20 — with more job cuts later this year.
Trickle down hoax.
Oh I’ve never heard this one!
I’m happy to report that along with @aurinmpls.bsky.social and @angelaconley.bsky.social, I was part of the unanimous vote of the Planning Commission to remove the name of Cesar Chavez from the Minneapolis street carrying his name today.
Newly released records on the police response to the assassination of Melissa Hortman show officers knew a woman was lying motionless on the top of the stairs inside the Hortman home but waited 30 minutes to physically check on her.
A senior law enforcement official said the situation fit the description of an active shooter.
That meant officers should have gone into the Hortman home to confront Vance Boelter and not waited to deploy drones.
Kash Streisand is handling this brilliantly
Extremely refreshing to have a professional sports team that has actual human values
Absolutely. And I'm not actually defending my own position here. I'm clearly obnoxious 😂

Someone was taken near 20th & Central tonight at 10 PM. Within 5 minutes, there were over 20 people on a call and even more people on foot in the area to respond.
I also hold this belief. Saw a post the other day about how to boil your pasta faster and my immediate reaction was "who cares how fast the pasta cooks? Your sauce won't be done anyway," before it occurred to me that some people just open jars. (Yes I can hear myself).

Although the district says it’s hired consultants to clean up its finance department, it was assessed additional IRS penalties as recently as this month.
Neither the board nor superintendent has spoken publicly about these issues or an August 2025 about significant issues w/in the finance dept.
ICYMI, my 2 articles this week about Minneapolis Public Schools:
1. District employees withheld $3M from a health care trust for unknown reasons

2. The district has been fined $5.3M by the IRS over the past 4 years

Let’s go!
I’m not sure I can think of another technology that was this hyped that failed so spectacularly at its core function
Lost was one of the first internet era versions of this. Writers were reacting to online fan boards and the show went bonkers.
The very legitimate uncorrupt Supreme Court of the United States
Book display called “who’s mentioned in the Epstein files? Find them here.” And it’s books by or about Trump, Melania, Oz, Woody, and so on
Currently in display at Minneapolis central library. You love to see it.
I really don't like this 25A medicalization talk. "Fail a mental fitness test"? That frames this as if it's some unproven possibility of a particular mental illness, which is totally irrelevant. I don't care what boxes he checks in the DSM-5. That he's unfit for office is not a medical diagnosis.
Right out in the open, Donald Trump is suing his own IRS to try to steal $10 BILLION taxpayer dollars.
I just introduced a bill that would make this theft ILLEGAL.
A giraffe sticking out its tongue
The president cannot reach a financial settlement with an executive branch agency! This is cartoonishly corrupt! Just backing the gold-plated moving van up to the IRS and loading up cash.
Media reporter emeritus @dbrauer.net says the Star Tribune's obsession with a supposedly dysfunctional Minneapolis City Council overplays minor issues, lets the mayor off the hook, and obscures what the city has accomplished.
Applesauce for brains. Where are @jaketapper.bsky.social and the @nytimes.com ?
“I did better than all other presidents on the brain test. I remembered all four animals. It was snake, snake, snake, snake”
Yes please 👋
