Or ever, really...

What an AMAZING historical find. You can clearly see he is playing what became the sitar part of "Mæl hit blæc" and not Brian Jones!

This is precisely the problem - balancing between renewable and non-renewable sources in real time.
There are environmental and safety issues with batteries at that scale. Utilities may require customers to install (and pay for) batteries and/or invertors in their homes which I am not crazy about

The parking lots at Intel in Oregon and Arizona have had this for years. It saves cost, too. I doled out for my own solar at home too.

But read about issues of the Duckback Curve wrt to adding solar at the suggested scale. Just adding generation without adding storage can actually hurt the grid.

Thanks to Finn, Ari, Sawyer, and Ian for rushing over to meet the kids.... (with Alex Bonetig, Kristoffer Velde, and the whole squad on the way over to join)

There is a huge lesson here that American Democrats are missing. It's important. Orban was beaten from the Center. That is incredibly rare, but an important lesson.

We have <7 months to figure that out, internalize it, and activate the vote.

Didn't John Lennon get in a lot of trouble for a whole lot less than this, "Christian Americans for Trump?"

He has literally just said he is God.

Hmm: Eric Izoita didn't score a banger against Vancouver worthy of note? I'd hate to think @timbers.com are building an academy OR that the product is worthy of a line from a pundit.

Credit too to Jude Terry. When that ball went in the net Saturday, we Portlanders said 'there was no stopping that'

I've had this conversation so many futile times.

deploy it rationally with moral human beings in the loop.

I for one do not want to abandon control of AI to Microsoft, OpenAI, Tesla, and bad-actor nations.

So, here are some choices:
- Hope a tech that folks who really understand it see huge cost and insight advantages (or chances to rig human perception for that matter) just goes away and that nation states will abandon it,
- Train everyone who wants on the strengths and vulnerabilities and [more]

It's the Gartner hype curve in action. Unrealistic expectations burst, folks get too disillusioned, and eventually the technology settles into what it will be.
AI isn't - to your point - like other tech. Training models takes both expertise and huge capital. Which is scary as hell.

GenAI exists, that particular Rubicon has been crossed. It will be used globally for better & for worse. Get smart on detecting fakes, learn what it does and doesn't, pass IP protection laws for creators (good luck with this administration) but don't stick your head in the ground. It's here to stay.

It was all over the news. Then, shockingly, Philips in 2000 did it again when he was in the NFL. They fired him, not gave him a trophy.

Senator Tom Osbourne won a national championship with a running back who pulled his girlfriend down multiple flights of stairs by her hair. And Osbourne being 'a great guy' was the reason so many voted for him to break the tie.

Hasn't then been erased from US History as effectively as the life of Nikolai Yezhov was in Pravda Social Media (Pravda is Russian for Truth for the 1 person out there who didn't know) by Stalin and the USSR?

We all wish them both success and good health. Hopefully Chile can use Alexander who seemed to be in good form, rather than taking a player away from his club for two weeks, flying to 19 hours + and from 45 N to 45 S without and having him watch.

@brentonmastenbrook.bsky.social Maybe he ate so much humble pie in Brazil that he realizes that for all of his talent, he needs to work, have a great attitude, and do what the team needs to play @ next level.
Or maybe he's still a talented. childish, locker-room cancer who takes matches off pouting.

How to beat @timbers.com - go down a man and then we'll go all Ortiz on you.

I want to respond to feel-good post like Izoita's goal or Guerra at home, but it's hard when we are heading for the Wooden Spoon.

Let's all vote the Corgi from halftime as MOTM and move on.

3 -14 in our last 4 here...or something like that... vs VAN tells us all we need to know about the health of our franchise.

How about we let some USL team play in our place and trade them for their slot in the US Open Cup that got screwed up yet again? While many Timbers fans care about neither tourney, more care about USOC.

Hard OptOut coming.

In this case I'd say it's 'uprooted in tradition.'

My favorite part of bringing European's to Timbers matches is the look on their face when they fire up the chain saw. It's priceless.

MLS had a golden opportunity five years ago with a growing base of fans from the key youth demographic. And they've whiffed since then - be it removing the product from broadcast to Apple, banning content in Reddit, and showing franchise favoritism. It's a shame. But we can watch EPL and LigaMX

Portland is still horribly light in the midfield and over-stocked with left wingers. But this takes me from "dear, please hide the razor blades now!" to "well, we could give some teams unexpected trouble."
