I haven't had extended periods of blockage, but I *was* delighted by a solo journaling game called "The Last Teashop" and another one that was called "The Thousand Year Vampire." Sometimes, just writing *entirely for yourself* is a way to find the joy in it again.

Lady Lucerne awaits to meet you in Scriptorium on April 16th!✨
This game was already on my wishlist. It's taken a giant leap further towards landing in my Steam games with this, lol.

Happy to say I have a new poem live today at Spellbinder! www.spellbindermag.com/issues/sprin...
"Defying Entropy" is a sestina, which is definitely one of my favorite forms to write. <3 It's just tricky enough to be a fun puzzle for my brain!
This is *delightful* (and features one of my stories!).

In ancient Ireland, attaining the highest level of poet entitled you to wear a cloak of crimson feathers and carry a wand. . . just in case anyone is looking for a mid-career pivot.
Found on Instagram, for all my poet friends:
A new poem lives! "Our Titan Home" is available at Milk & Cake: milkandcakepress.com/product/dead... and may cool you down a little if your weather is as muggy as mine is right now, lol.

Ahh. Correction. The jury still needs to do their thing; what they released today was the long list!
Well, the Rhysling jury is done doing their bit, and I'm delighted to say I have two poems in contention in the Long category this year!!! Thank you to all who nominated, and congrats to all on the list!
So, I was on Speculative Sundays this past weekend, and it's now on YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8t0...
Akua, the host, asked me where my dragon love comes from.
. . . Anne McCaffrey's Pern. I was ALL about unicorns till I read the Harper trilogy at 11 or 12. It's been dragons ever since.
I've been told that there aren't any tickets available for my reading on the first! It will ALSO be live on Facebook: via Zoom @akulaezlihope
Just as a reminder, a Speculative Sundays poetry reading series begins tomorrow, and I get to kick off the month! www.eventbrite.com/e/starburst-...

@emmiechristie33.bsky.social continues her amazing blog, reviewing multiple stories by the same author to give people a feel for the depth and scope of an author's work. . . and maybe get them to read something they've never encountered before!
