There's a Nintendo now in Singapore. For some reason I don't feel any excitement or hype at all about this. If I was like in my teens or even in my 20s I be over the moon. There's the strong sense of "meh" washing over me. Am I too jaded for this now?

I'm 45 this year. Somehow inside I feel like this 16 year old wondering if I am adulting right. Then when some problem comes up and nowadays people look at me as the "adult" in the room. "look man I am the same loser nerd that never grew out of video games", in my head.
I went back and tried replaying FFVI. I like the story but game mechanically feels boring to me versus FFV. By the time I got to having Espers I just decided to stop.

Having better gathered my thoughts. I think the better description of the game would be like Ace Attorney series. Where there is only 1 ending but you get some variation of dialogues and some game mechanics sections. Though this game has no penalty on picking the wrong ones.
I want to talk about #UrbanMythDissolutionCenter but I can't say too much without spoiling. I don't feel I can fully recommend it as it is similar to kinetic visual novel. I wonder how to I talk about this? I will following the streaming guidelines for now.
Been playing Gobou's game. The dude who makes pixel Yume Nikki fan videos. The game is in early access but feels more like final polish. Game is like La-Mulana in terms of finding treasures without the cruel instant deaths. Recommended for people who like metroidvania.
I really wonder where these people come from and did they actually grow up in that era or is it something they discovered and is very magical to them because of most of the tech is now lost. It is tiring to even think about this people.
Too close to home......
I play a lot of games and I can no longer remember most of them. I wonder if this is because of age or a lot of them are very similar experiences. Thinking about it, strangely I cannot remember a lot of games for the PS2 and PS1 era. Its all mash and blended together in my head.
I see a lot of fear in them. Probably because it is a loss of their identity after all. Being on the internet, people only learn rage because farming strong emotions is profitable. Which is why I now have a lot of games I love that are purely offline. It is a good way to just get off the internet.
I guess I am the opposite? I'm 44. I appreciate games a lot more now especially older ones. Honestly I have never gotten into AAA games or the fact I find GTA series very boring to play and have no hype with the new one. Though I am more willing now to just drop games if I am unable to get into them
